I'm serious. We need Kyla to use some of that size she has and get herself in to rebounding position for a spot to go up hard with her putbacks. I think she could play more if she could add a little mean streak.
I would think that with Buggs out, we will see Matharu a lot more.Bearprof said:
I've said for a while that as Abraham improves, this team will have a solid chance for the Sweet 16. The addition of Matharu makes our backcourt depth pretty salty - Sarah, Matharu, Walker, Felder, Jennings (who is still developing but gives great effort). With Abraham giving 10-12 solid minutes a game, if only on the defensive end, would do much for this team. It seems that she is becoming more comfortable with the speed of the game and what is expected of her.

Hate to lose Buggs and Bartley for tonight but this may be a great opportunity for Kyla to get some playing time.
100%. She made a short jumper. She did it from an aggressive move, committed to the shot. Need more of thatBullBear_bf said:
Kyla seems to play "Nice". I would like to see some aggression on her part.
Why is that (bolded)? Some kids just never reach their potential or it is painfully slow no matter what you do or it may just not be in their nature. The only thing I am certain of is that we outsiders don't have the data to back up or refute your statement one way or another. Do you honestly believe that a 6'4" player is not being coached up to the hilt to help the team? And don't say they can't develop. Look at the vast improvements of Buggs and Bella since they stepped on campus.BU82EX said:
No excuse for why Kyla is not playing significant minutes and contributing in a significant way at this point in her career. I don't know what kind of work ethic she has, but our coaching staff has to take some responsibility in her failure to develop. She has things you can't coach (height/athleticism) which should make the things you can coach possible.
