YaYa has break out game, Sarah hits clutch threes, Vonleh holds Prince to 12 points and Vanlith struggles with her shots. Score BU 58, TCU, 52

Let HVL shoot her mid-range, but can't allow Conner to get going with her 3's. 61 - 58. Bears win!

Think TCU is the better team by a razor thin margin. That said, beating a good team 3x in one season doesn't happen very often. Bears win a close one

I predict Tcu will continue to play the sexual predator & physical abuser without batting an eye. Nothing to see here right?
I'm not quite as dumb as I seem

If toadettes meet up with hornettes in the tourney, expect a media torrent.

Have you noticed that none of the conference press releases with respect to the tournament and all conference honors have featured Prince at all? Van Lith was named player of the year but the press release never listed the all conference team members (which I assume included Prince). And the Facebook/twitter posts from the conference website feature Van Lith and Conner (and Andrews and Walker for us).

Hard to beat a team 3 times. Remeber the fiasco with the Aggies in i think 2011. We can win if we hit free throws and no scoring droughts.

That was a jaw-dropping game in Dallas. Blair and then assistant coach Vic Schaefer apparently told their players to either flop or foul every play because "they can't catch them all." At least they went on to win the natty.

We actually beat them 3 times that season.

The 4th time is what bit us.

I'll always believe that Mulkey's non-stop whining (for 2 weeks) about the committee placing both teams in the Dallas region got in the player's heads.

After the initial shock/disappointment of the team placements wore off (which should have been the case by that next day), then the message to her team, publicly and privately, should have been this:

"I don't care if we have to beat them 100 times. They are standing in our way and that's too bad for them, because they'd probably get to the Final 4 this year if they didn't have to play us again."

Instead, the whining probably put some doubt in their heads, they came out tight, and the rest is history.

I remember all that well, and it's a great point. I didn't think much about it at the time, but in retrospect, it does feel like she was almost planting an expectation of losing that game into people's minds. Her argument was 100% correct and should have been registered, but I remember hearing about it multiple times, which was overkill.

Plus Odyssey was still suffering from flu. And BG was off on her shot that day.

At least 4 obvious mistakes by the officials end up making significant difference in the outcome.

without Buggs but nothing too crazy. I think with Buggs it would be such a different story. Even if Buggs was able to play 20 minutes it would have impacted the game with Bella on foul trouble. We finally have got a dominant Nette and i'm loving it!! Kyla and Nette on the floor at the same time is not a bad look honestly especially considering TCU has mainly a wing playing the 4 for them majority of the time.

Defensively we have improved so much compared to the beginning of the year. I would hate to have to play us in the tournament.

Despite me questioning some of our coaching decisions this evening (and most definitely last Sunday), the one thing that I was pleased with today was the decision to put Vonleh and Abraham on the floor at the same time.

It took some of the pressure off of Abraham (and Vonleh as well), and gave us some much needed length on the floor.

It may not be a bad strategy to implement moving forward (against teams with size).

I've said it before and I'll repeat it again -

With Buggs healthy, we won the Big 12 regular season and tournament title. The biggest thing we are missing is a go-to player to drive and create. Bella is better with Buggs in the game because they have to be honest.

Also, with Bella not spending the majority of the game in foul trouble, we probably win tonight. Not sure what is happening, but in certain games she just seems to settle into foul trouble.

Loving the development of Annettene and seeing her develop. Will be interesting to see the draw we get. If Buggs does return, which I'm not 100% sure will actually happen, I wouldn't want to draw us the first two weekends.

Side note - really wish we had beaten Van Lith. Will be grateful when she and Price graduate simply because I'm tired of hearing their names. An average age of 22.5 years will thankfully not be a thing after this eason.
