I hope that this is a set play, bella came get alot of buckets from this, reminds me alot of plays bill set for ashley joens from Iowa state. Which led to her being very dominant, bella should keep improving in that area.

Don't know about betting lines but ESPN's predictive analytics give Iowa a 68.9% chance of winning vs a 31.1% for us. A little surprised by this, I must say. Not necessarily picking Iowa to win, but by such a large percentage difference.

They've been winning by huge margins, but outside of Drake for them and Le Moyne for us, can't see that they've
played anyone as tough as we have.

Will be interesting. Think our staff and team is tired, but if they learn how to play and compete through this stretch, will pay dividends down the road during some of those quick turnaround, grind-it-out sections of schedule.

Looking at box score, they have gone very deep in their bench on these blow out games. And except for the first game, their scoring seems pretty balanced.

Think our defense will have to be sharp; we'll need to not get in early foul trouble; and our bench will need to eat up a few minutes for us.

We'll see…. Sic'em!

I think it will be tough to win this game based on CNC's comments......height down low and shooters on the perimeter, She also said she thought Drake was going to give them a game and they did not.

I continue to think we are ranked too high (Duke is no longer in the top 25) and Iowa too low. Wish it was different, but I don't think we win this game.

2) Drake played matchup zone against a team with outside shooters…..not smart

I have no idea how espn analytics predict winners, but they seem to have no doubt that the comparative rankings mean nothing. They seem certain that we are going to lose. We have started to see bits of extended playing time for Ting and even some minutes for Pemberton, so hoping to see continued contribution from the bench. Echo earlier poster that we need Ella to heal to give Jana more breaks without those minutes adding to Taliah's legs. We're in for the long haul this year.

You must be seeing different point spreads than I am. Baylor-Iowa doesn't appear to be listed yet. And the Baylor-Duke game closed at Duke -8.5 on ESPNBet. I find it difficult to imagine FD's was that different...

As long as Deng plays moderately decent D she will get minutes. The team needs another consistent scoring option. She consistently makes buckets.

Johnson, Johnson, and Abraham are not consistently scoring enough. But they offer D, rebounding, etc. that is needed. Deng can be that fourth scorer that alleviates some of the pressure on Scott, Buggs & Fontleroy to have solid scoring every game.

If Deng can average 8-12 ppg that is HUGE.

What betting App are you on? It's not uncommon for lines to be different from App to App. Although that big of a difference would be incredibly rare. The line for BU/Duke definitely closed at -1.5 on FD because I took Bu to cover.

Comments about Baylor reinforce the need for a dependable fourth scorer.

I mostly look at FD and ESPN Bet. In the link I posted you can see the closing line for ESPN Bet on there.

So much for TCU's marquee win. You can't get too excited in the early part of the season about beating some "name" until you see how some of its season plays out.

Literally TCU's hardest game in nonconference left is Ohio State as a neutral site which who knows if it will be a ranked game or not. Rest of TCU nonconference slate is cupcakes.

Watching hornettes vs UCLA--Booker has really trimmed down. They held Betts to 2 points in Q1. Rory is back.

The difference in athleticism is quite noticeable.
