Gulich was fantastic for OSU tonight. Combine that with 45% 3 point shooting and that makes them a hard team to beat.

I am really going to be pissed if Texas makes it to the Final Four!
I share the same feeling. Already going to be tough for me to sleep tonight but that would make it impossible.

Agree. We have a lot to look forward too. I will get over the disappointment in a few days but it really hurts right now

Really liked this team. Seem like great kids. Wish they could have made it to the Final 4.

Kim has to figure something out. Hopefully an influx of talent will help her but Sweet Sixteen is table stakes for this program. It is when we see the first competitive teams. Big 12 was horribly weak this year and that is not helpful either.

Oregon St. played outstanding tonight. Baylor couldn't hit a 3pt. shot until it was to late. Juicy and Chou couldn't hit anything and Juicy was reluctant to shoot when she was open.

I will say that Mulkey's defeated look on the sideline with 5 min to go just pissed me off. She wasn't encouraging at all. It just goes to show you that with 6 players basically that have any real experience when ones game is off it affects everybody. Cox fouls out and doesn't play the last 4 of the 2nd qtr. Kalani can't find the rim around the basket and disappears while Gulich was very active and just looked like she wanted it more. Morris too young in this type of game to understand what must be done. Nobody else either played consistently all night.

This one is on Mulkey. She didn't have them ready which is shocking to me. We had to play with a crazy chaotic ball pressure style that they do not see that often. You have to overplay, make them take off balance shots, but they just run a perfect offense with screens, picks and spot ups. Good defense will cut into some of that but I just did not see enough urgency all night until it was too late. We have no experience with close games at all so you can't expect them to react with perfect execution in a 1-2 possession game.

Mulkey did not have them on edge. It's really that simple because we have the talent to beat anyone but UCONN. Would love to see OSU play UCONN and see how they play D vs. those 3's.

In her defense. She did not get the ball when she was open.

I saw everyone on the court miss her while she was open.

I think our lack of depth & maybe nerves played a big role tonight. We really needed Kristy's experience out there tonight.

Morris, Landrum, Chou, and Cox all can. We just didn't utilize them like that today. Have to prove early that we can shoot over their zone.
3-15 from 3 isn't going to get it done in an NCAA Regional

Oregon St was just better tonight, congrats to them. It came down to their good defense and lights out deep shooting combined with our injuries/short bench. Simple as that.

Baylor fans, your team had an off night, and your team was riddled with injuries this year. It was a great season, and your coach is a winner. I watched her press conference, and Kim was gracious, and complementary of OSU. I wish Baylor great success next year, and you have some very talented young players who will grow tremendously from their experience in the tournament this year.

This is absolutely true, but it was also much more than that. I have never seen us so lethargic and miss so many lay-ups and shots we normally make. Totally poor offensive execution. No outside shots until the very end.

This was not the team we have seen all season. And I don't know why.

I get the post mortem of a bad game but come on folks we just did not shoot it that well. sometimes the best answer is simple...we would have looked a lot less lethargic if some of the inside bunnies and layups went in.

the first half they played man and we had the lead at half time took zero or one three because of the length of their guards on the perimeter. They went to zone and we took 16 or 17 threes in the second half cause that is what they gave us and we missed to many. They beat us in the second half when we did what everyone complains about us not doing, we did shoot the threes. We have good shooters % wise but they just did not make enough. Overall we only took 3 less threes than they did. Juicy and Morris trying to get looks over 6 ft plus guards was a problem. Chou and Bickel (recruit) have been recruited at least in part to be those tall perimeter players who can shoot the three. Inside or out you have to know your strengths and you have to adjust to what teams are doing...some of you want to penalize Kim for having recruited a couple of the best inside players in the Country and then wanting to use them to win games!
