I was surprised by the size of the UCLA loss. It looks like the best of the West are Oregon (they play UCONN Monday) and Stanford. Stanford has top tier talent, but are not consistent. Interesting conference!

We temporarily add a sports package to our cable that allows us to see many basketball games then cancel after bball season. I just have to! It happens to include PAC 12 channels which isn't the reason we purchased but they have been fun to watch.Chibears2 said:
Sure would be nice to see them on TV, PAC 12!

All I've heard all year long on WBB TV coverage is how great the Pac 12 is. I'm gonna laugh in mid March when only 2, maybe 3 of those Pac 12 schools actually make it to the Sweet 16.
I turned it off when OreSt tied it with 2 seconds left because I didn't think I could stay awake through OT. Heckuva a bucket by Pivic to win, and she did it without pushing off like Ionescu.SirBearALot said:
Oregon state scored two buckets with only three seconds left to beat Arizona State catch the last play the game if you can on YouTube or somewhere an incredible shot to win!
Both teams played tough defense but the last 14 seconds brought on a scoring flurry. Oregon St tied it up with 14 seconds to go Tapley scored the go-ahead basket with 3.1 left. Oregon St called a time out and did the inbounds play at midcourt. They ran a cut play and Tudor scored with .4 seconds left on the clock. Arizona attempted a quick inbounds pass that went by a player and out of bounds, giving Oregon St the last attempt which Pivek his on a catch and shoot. inside the free-throw line. They have run those last plays before.whitetrash said:I turned it off when OreSt tied it with 2 seconds left because I didn't think I could stay awake through OT. I saw that this morning...so sad...just goes to show that a teams season depends in large part on the health of the team...wish her nothing but the best.slimecap said:
"Oregon State freshman Kennedy Brown will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the ACL in her left knee in a win over Arizona State on Friday night. She started every game of the season prior to her injury, averaging 6.3 points and 7.3 rebounds in 27.7 minutes per contest."

Actually the Oregon St team from a couple of years ago was not ranked that high. They were just sixth seed in the tournament. Sounds like your post is an attempt to bolster your own conference via diminishing another. Now your post would carry a bit more weight if you did not say that Stanford was the # 1 team in the Pac 12. Shows your ignorance. They have not been the number one team in some time. Stanford is a weird team. They can play good one game and like garbage the next. Young team and it shows. Oregon beat them by 32 pts. You never know what to expect from them. Everyone that followed the Pac 12 knew they were overrated but had a chance to grow because they were so young.3rdgenbear said:
Caught the end of the Arizona - Oregon State game, with Arizona winning in overtime. I must be missing something, they both seem unimpressive. Defense isn't anything like the Big 12. We have 4 or 5 teams that can play at their level and they are #8 & #12. Oregon State should drop out of the top 20 and Arizona shouldn't be in the top 15. They were beaten by Oregon by 30.
This is not the Oregon State from a couple of years ago, but they are being ranked like it.

TCU is good. Should be ranked in top 20.
