No argument here.....will be interesting to see if UConn shows up for this "big game" after going 0-2 vs us and Oregon. Basically the last chance they have at resume building.
Although Megan Walker was no where to be found in Oregon game, it really is Nelson-Ododa who has not lived up to the hype. Athletic big who seems a little timid right now. I am sure Geno will be scouting for a true big after this year. Maybe hopes to get a grad-transfer at the post position.Eball said:
This one is going to be fun to watch...South Carolina could run them out of the gym at home...or they could play tight and have Boston get in foul trouble..and it could be a game. UCONN guards need to dominate...they need to hit some threes...and their big girl needs to play big for once in a big game.
I have to go with South Carolina at home but I think it could be closer that UCONN's losses to Oregon and us....
I want to see how the three freshman starters play for USC...
Yes absolutely!ScottS said:

I agree that Nelson-Ododa is the key inside against Boston...Walker is just 6'1" and more of a shooting guard she really is not a big banger inside...UCONN is vulnerable inside unless Ododa plays well.Lone Star said:Although Megan Walker was no where to be found in Oregon game, it really is Nelson-Ododa who has not lived up to the hype. Ordinary would be a step up.Lone Star said:
Wow! UConn looks, do I dare say.......ordinary?
Nobody is coming through for UConn tonight. As Geno said after they played Baylor, "We just don't have enough, we just don't have enough".GrizBear said:
What is wrong with Cristyn Williams? She has not been good.

Is UConn still our biggest win of the year? What's 2nd? Are we going to be prepared for Elite-8 competition?

I'm not sure why some of you are so surprised and continue to think UConn is a true contender. They're not and haven't been all year. They have mediocre play in the paint, a very average point guard and awful outside shooting against any team with even a halfway decent defense. Add all of that together with essentially no bench strength and you have a marginal team that, if not based on name alone, would be rated properly around 14th to 18th.
I agree they are not the top team but they still are a contender...they have lost to the top three teams in the Nation. If they get it together and figure out who their fifth starter is and the schedule and injuries break right they could win it all still. They certainly are not the favorite nor are they likely but they have a puncher's chance.DanaDane said:
