Very very close game. UConn wins 1st qtr by 2. BU wins 2nd qtr by 4. As long as this trend continues I'm good with it.

Very happy the Baylor Lady Bears lead at Halftime! 26-12 Points in the Paint advantage for the Lady Bears. Great 1st half scoring for Dijonai Carrington with 14 points. Moon Ursin with double figure scoring. If the next 20 minutes are anything like the first 20, this Women's Elite Eight basketball game will go down to the wire. GO LADY BEARS!

They will rest a bit during the break but they will be gassed more quickly in the 3rd. That's when Mulkey will put the boot on the throat.

I have watched a limited amount of ladies basketball this year. The quality of play, effort and athleticism displayed in the first half by both teams dwarfs anything else I have seen out of the ladies games this year.

Baylor leading with Queen 2 for 8 and Smith 2 for 7. If they can make half their shots the rest of the way, the Lady Bears are in great shape. Zero fouls for both. They can be very aggressive the rest of the way.

I wouldn't mind seeing 1 from Smith too.

In 2019, when we made our final push to the championship, from this point on in, DiDi upped her game offensively, and became a legit scoring threat. We really need that now, as well as the Smith we saw vs Michigan this half.

Some good news heading into the 2nd half. Both of U conn's best post players have 2 fouls on them. We only have one player with 2 and that is Moon. I believe she will probably be able to handle that without getting into serious foul trouble. We really need to go into the paint and get their posts in serious foul trouble so we can dominate the paint. That would appear to be our best route along with stellar defense if we are to win this game...
