Top 2 players are transferring; seems like its just bad news after bad news. Need to find a new coach to stop the bleeding.

On the bright side it's better than the 10-15 that reportedly we're gone if Rodriguez stayed.

With McKenzie it probably won't matter, he'll definitely get drafted high enough to sign if he wants.

No question the portal gutted us though, to be expected to some degree with a coaching change. Whoever comes in is essentially starting this thing from scratch.

It's a very difficult situation. But more important to get the best, right coach than rushing into a decision on our new coach.

Eight in total, actually. McKenzie, Tre Richardson, Kyle Nevin, Jack Pineda, Casen Neumann, David Needham, Antonio Valdez and Evan Godwin. The overwhelming majority of our offensive production.

only players back will likely be ones who are injured and rehabbing, plus a few others that really want to be here. Should be a big overhaul, but not impossible rebuild.

With all due respect to all the players on the roster. But the team came in second to last in the Big 12. They played with no energy, no emotion, no fight and got ten ruled ruled several times. At some point players have to play the game. Whining about the coaching staff is an easy cop out..

This team getting in the portal does not bother me at all. College teams will be brand new every year. If you had the year this team just had, they better be wondering if the new Baylor coach allows them to the on the team next year.

Evan Godwin has been gone for a while. He'll be an aggie next year.

Nevin's dad replaced the fired Joe Maddon of the Angels yesterday.

Mack seems to take his time and (hopefully) get it right. Transfers are going to happen every year. I think about the uphill battle CNC had with her team and how she put a pretty darn good team together.

Mack needs to do what he does and the new coach will know what he's stepping into.

True, but I'm kinda wondering of some are actually waiting before hitting the portal. Some may prefer a change at the top.

Transferring within conference should have a penalty. Remember when Lucas and Taylor left and proceeded to dominate? Terrible, terrible policy.

If the new coach has to fill 28 spots in six weeks, it will be a tall task. Dare I say, almost impossible to do with quality players. Thus the necessity of getting this hire done sooner rather than later.

There should be stiff competition this Fall. Those who stay should number 15-20 out of 40 from 2022.
Incoming recruits and JUco transfers accou t for 15.
The new coach may have some of his current players come
With him. (Add 1-3)
Portal transfers - 5-10.
That gives us around 40-45 to make a team with.
Should be good

Yes, but the later the hire, the harder the task.

Mitch might have some ready made D-1 talent coming with him from the MCC team to help quickly fill the roster.

What Schloss did at A&M this year isn't normal. I expect us to be pretty bad next year and then rebound and make a regional in either 24 or 25.

I would be surprsied if Baylor would be worse next year than they were this year, even with lesser talent.

Now that Coach T has been announced if I had a son on the team I would definitely have him enter the transfer portal. I know you guys all think coach T he is the best. But in my opinion there are much stronger more qualified coaches in the NCAA and much better facilities! My son would be out. Just keeping it real

More than you realize. But not stuck in my ways. Wishing the very best for Baylor . I am Baylor alum as well as most of my extended family. Been a Bear family for 80 years. Just believe that the baseball team needed young blood. That's all. Wishing the Bears all the best.
