Giles fell so far, Houston would trade him for this baggage:

Osuna has been suspended 75 games for violating the league's domestic violence policy and is eligible to return on August 5 against the Mariners.

Wow, considering the type of players our management has normally gotten this is kind of shocking to me. We seem to stick to guys that the general public really likes. That said if he comes back and is his normal self then that's a pretty big upgrade on the field.

Surely Lunhow did his due diligence, I like this move on the field. I'll wait for the press release regarding Osunas baggage, but I don't think we would give up Giles and change for an unknown situation with Osuna.

Yep. The Yankees (Chapman), Red Sox (Steven Wright), and Astros all now have a player who has been suspended for a domestic violence incident. These teams are lucky they are not a college football team threatening UT's territory.

Kinda hate to see Paulino go, but whatever.

Jul 25: 2 runs on 1 hit 10 SO 3 BB
Jul 27: 2 runs on 6 hits 8 SO 5 BB
Jul 28: 3 runs on 5 hits 5 SO 1 BB
Jul 29: 3 runs on 7 hits 9 SO 3 BB
Jul 30: 0 runs on 4 hits 10 SO 1 BB

We had as many SO as hits on the 28th and more SO than hits in all the others. For 5 games we scored 10 runs on 23 hits, but struck out 42 times and claimed only 13 walks. As a team we're not seeing the ball that well, and given the guys struggling I don't know why.

In a season of 162 games, there are going to be bad stretches, sometimes just due to chance. The hope is that 1) they are relatively short and 2) You don't get one in the playoffs.

It doesn't help that Correa and Altuve are not in the lineup.

The Yankees got 2 no hitters thrown against them in 99.

The 2007 Red Sox lost to the Pirates 17-1.
