On to New York. Four down, seven to go.

What an unbelievable play by Correa in infield after Altuve ricocheted ball
I thought he was channeling JJ Watt, who has done the same thing when swatting down passes ... and in Houston that would be fitting.D. C. Bear said:SATXBear said:

LOL at Correa's Mutumbo finger wag after he threw out runner at the plate on the ball off Altuve's chest.
I was watching through the 10th, then my wife ordered me to go to bed.Wichitabear said:
Houston won tonight!!!! 3 to 2 in the 11th ending. I guess y'all work tomorrow.
He reminds me way too much of Cerrano from 'Major League'.BearFoot said:
Yordan has been awful.
You are probably right considering the age of the players and the connection Watt has with the team, but Mutumbo played for the Rockets for 5 years and is someone most Houston sports fans readily recognize.Oldbear83 said:I thought he was channeling JJ Watt, who has done the same thing when swatting down passes ... and in Houston that would be fitting.D. He is a rookie batting against some of the best pitching in the league. He is going to have to adjust to what they are doing. If he does then that is when we know he will be a star and not just a good player.Oldbear83 said:He reminds me way too much of Cerrano from 'Major League'.BearFoot said:

Seriously, he is trying to go deep into pitch counts, but would have better success if he swings at the first pitch. For some reason, he gets a lot of fastballs over the plate for pitch 1, so Yordan could park those. By waiting until he's got a full count or 2-2, he gets a lot of low sliders he not only misses, but would ground out of he hit them.

My wife woke me up to show me the homer. Said "you still wanna trade Correa?" I said yea
And think about that throw in the 6th inning. Bare-handed, all arm to the plate but with perfect accuracy and timing to beat the runner by 3 steps.SATXBear said:GoldMind said:

You do realize he has been battling a lower back condition for the last year and a half. He has no core. That swing last night was all arms which made it even more impressive. I think he is a must resign unless you get some starting pitching or have to make room for Coles.

Could move him to 3rd and let Bregman play short. He's got the arm.
He's also been a middling hitter on top of being constantly hurt.

Got to keep Correa!
Would you trade JJ Watt, on that argument?GoldMind said:
We would be holding out for an unknown value. He hasn't shown that he can stay healthy and he's only getting older.
I'm

Here comes the dreaded bullpen but at least we have two more runs now. 4-0
I think he meant New York's bullpen, which has been pretty good.GoldMind said:Aliceinbubbleland said:

Lol. When was the last time our pen blew a game?

Who pitches for us in game 5? Will they use Verlander if we have the proposed rain delay.

Bullpen if game 4 goes tomorrow, Verlander game 6.
If no game tomorrow, Verlander game 5, bullpen game 6.
Cole gets game 7 in either event.
