The thing I saw on that play, is that both players were fixed on the ball and did not know where the other player was. Had the ball been dropped, that play could have affected the team chemistry later in the game. It worked out well, and I don't think either player is unhappy today.D. C. Bear said:

No, they were not unhappy, but it just looked to me like Marwin had a very routine play and Springer made a spectacular one. I know it is standard procedure for the center fielder to catch whatever he can, and it was pretty spectacular.

No, they were not unhappy, but it just looked to me like Marwin had a very routine play and Springer made a spectacular one. I know it is standard procedure for the center fielder to catch whatever he can, and it was pretty spectacular.
