Jesus, Giles.

Wasn't on Giles. Team effort to **** that bed.
I mean... he didn't get a single out. Bullpen definitely **** the bed.

As did theirs. That's just how baseball go sometimes, just didn't fall our way.
Trueeee. I'll take the series split. Quick turnaround against the Yankees tomorrow at noon.

That's gonna be hell.

Change clothes, get on the plane, nap, get off the plane eat dinner go to sleep wake up and go play.

Sheesh.

Meh. Could've been better. Still funny they had what 6 errors? My lil nephews games have that many.

I think it was 5. Uglyyyy defense.

Also like to add that if Chapman didn't throw it 104mph, that wildness with Kemp wouldn't happen. Just ****ty luck sometimes.

Keuchel throwing today, he's done really well in Yankee stadium. Hopefully Severino has an off game, that'd be nice.

An article reinforced what I'd said to some folks earlier, why not give Rondon a shot to close some games? He's been low key productive.

Springer taking a break tonight.

TKemp goes from not very good to batting 1st. Not bad, not bad at all.

He was throwing 98 the other day. I'll take anyone who can deliver. Devo's blown save last night was probably a fluke since it was his third straight day of work (I think). I would like to see Rondon and Devo get more save opportunities.

I was just going over some numbers on fangraphs, and I really think we have a great pen. Keep in mind only 1 starter, JV, has thrown a complete game.

Damn. Not how I wanted the season series against the Yankees to go. Gotta beat them in the playoffs when it really counts.

It'll be even better when Giles and Harris get their groove on.

Now Boston who is sitting in the Downtown Marriott Marquis waiting for Houston to fly home from New York

Now watch em turn around and get beat by Baltimore.

Moving on.

If there's anything positive I can draw from tonight, Stassi and Kemp continue making contact, Yuli didn't get hurt on that collision, and McHugh did his job for the most part.

Should've finished that road trip 5-2, but ended up 3-4. Just a few tweaks away from fixing all of that.

After Boston the schedule gets much nicer for the Astros. June/July is their opportunity to run away and hide with the AL West. Hopefully, they can run down the Yankees and Red Soxs for the best record as well in that time.

I noticed awhile back that the 37 games leading up to the All-Star break are exceedingly easy. If we don't win at least 25 I'll be disappointed. We are about to go on a nice run. It looks like Seattle is beginning their inevitable collapse from lack of pitching, so hopefully the division will be wrapped up by the end of July and we can get healthy and rested for October

Way to get the W. Lance has the lowest ERA in games at The Juice Box.

I know why we hang onto Marisnick, gold glove caliber defense.

Correa also fired a 92mph pellet from the grass to home, fastest throw from an infielder since they started measuring.

96.2mph actually. And the funny thing is, the announcers didn't think it was abnormal for Correa until the StatCast data came in. Correa's cannon of an arm is just expected now. It's the reason Dodger Chris Taylor stayed at 3rd in the Top of the 8th of Game 5 on that Corey Seager double, when just a half inning earlier, Alex Bregman scored from 1st on almost the identical double (Altuve's double that put Houston up 9-8).

Games like tonight are just part of the game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you get sodomized in your own house.

I'm still proud as hell of Morton, didn't lose a game for 6 months, I guess he was due to **** the bed. It happens.

Onwards. Upward.

Heard there's a ton of easy-ish games ahead. Better close out the first half strong.

Good pickups in the first 2 rounds, future contributors. Beer can rake, but what position is he gonna play? Might take up for Yuli at first.

Schroeder can hopefully get some good pitches together.

We'll see in about 2-3 years. Lol.

FYI, Alejandro Bregman has walked more than hes struck out.

Thats an amazing improvement considering this is just year 3 for him.

And how bout La Pinya? Yuli has been producing, at a high level. Them Ribbies racking up now.

Yea. Kinda sucks losing Smith to "elbow discomfort", but I guess we get to see what Guduan can do.

Man, I can't recall a time when there's been so few teams in a pennant race in the 2 wild card era as there in this year's American League.

No team is closer than 5 games from breaking into the Houston-Boston-Yankees-Indians-Mariners party, and the only team closer than 6 games is the 29-34 Minnesota Twins, who are 5 games back in the pitiful AL Central.

The team hosting the AL Wild Card game this year may be a 100-win team. The top 4 AL teams would all be well out in front of every NL team.
