More than make the cut. He has been top 25 in the last two tourneys, each of which had a good field. He has a good history at the Players and it is the fifth-sixth most important tourney every year. So lets see him have a really good weekend this weekend.

Somehow I forgot about how well he did in the 2018 Players.

3 top 15 finishes in the last 7 Players....looks like Sawgrass is a good fit for his game when he's on.

He's -1 through 12. Had a birdie birdie start....and just bogeyed 11. If he can get another birdie or two coming he will be in nice shape on day 1

Finishes with a pretty stress-free 69. Good start. Hideki M has a great start with 63.

I can't even imagine how someone takes just 63 swings to get around a course like that from the championship tees. The skill level is mind numbing.

Hideki shows flashes of greatness....but his putting always seems to bite him in the ass eventually.

Projected cut is just -1; the top half of the leaderboard is loaded with scores of 63 to 68. Jimmy just needs to have a good solid round with minimal stray shots and he should be able to shoot 67ish and make the cut easily.

Yep...making the cut should be very doable....if he can get to at least -5 today he would probably be close to the top 20 heading into the weekend
