From what I have read, anyone experiencing a symptom of covid months after contracting the disease is considered a long hauler. So my sense of taste and smell haven't completed returned, well, I am supposedly now a "long hauler" since it's been a few months, despite the fact I feel perfectly fine.

It would appear that definition is being used to scare people when even a minor lingering effect makes on a "long hauler."
Out local hospital did not start a program for COVID long haulers because of "minor lingering effects." It is substantial enough here that they felt the need to do something about it.
While that may be true, if you do a google search of what is considered a long hauler, apparently those with minor lingering effects are being included in that number.
And?
And that label is being used to scare people, despite its inaccuracy.

That is pretty ironic coming from you.

He's consistently said (accurately) that Covid is not a danger to the vast majority of people. He's not trying to scare anyone. He just wants to be left alone by you lot who thrive on Covid fear porn.

He has offered misleading information regarding the safety of the COVID vaccines, or the lack thereof, that would get him reprimanded and retrained or fired if he had a job as a (real) journalist.
The current job of 'real' journalists is to offer misleading information regarding COVID. It appears our CDC has assumed that role as well, particularly as regards masks and therapeutics. His offering of accurate information which is not only not discussed by mainstream media but suppressed, is a public service.

There are potential issues with these vaccines that no one can honestly dismiss because there is ZERO longitudinal data on them. You and many others dislike that he raises questions because you want sheep like compliance. He has questions. He has concerns. Many others do as well and they are well founded.

If you would simply leave others alone and let them make their own choices, absent of suppressing information that doesn't coincide with your narrative, you might learn something or convince people your side has merit. Suppression doesn't do anything but convince others you are incorrect enough to hide something.

9.37 billion have been vaccinated with very very very few issues. I'd say it is more than safe…except for Alex Jones types.

You don't understand what longitudinal means.

Also, there aren't 9.37 billion people on earth. So there's that too. You might want to sit this one out, Covid porn boy.

To be fair, he said 9.37 billion doses. Given how many people have had 2 shots plus a booster, and some even more than that,

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/01/03/us/additional-doses-covid-vaccine.html

it's hard to say how many people that works out to.

1. There are not a whole lot of people engaging in the role of "real" journalists right now.

2. When he posts about a crappy poster at an American Heart Association conference that was so bad that the organizers put a warning on it after it slipped through whatever review process they had and attributes it to the AHA, that is not offering "accurate information," that is offering crap.

3. My advice to people is to consult with their personal physicians. Not sure how that is suppressing anything or why you would have a problem with that.

With respect to number two, I posed a question from an article that described the post just as I stated. You've provides much revisionist history on that thread.

As for number three, anyone who's read your post the last year knows that's complete and total bull***** You have regularly expressed your dismay and anger at people who have not been vaxxed. You're one of the boards resident VNs.

The fact that you thought you were providing something other than seriously misleading information with that particular thread shows how ridiculously blind you are on this issue.

Anyone who has read my posts knows that I have argued that data show and have shown that choosing to be vaccinated is the best course for most people. Data do show precisely that.

Anyone who has read your posts knows you are all in on vaccines, regardless of the complete lack of any long term data, and the shortened testing phase for this vaccine. You literally have no other solution.

And when you attempt to argue I have lied or misled people about the safety of vaccines, it is you who are the liar. As Canon correctly pointed out above, at no point have I ever lied or misled anyone regarding the safety of the vaccine. Instead, I have advocated against a one size fits all approach and vaccine mandates.

9.37 billion doses given.
And COVID is still running rampant. It's almost as if that approach has not worked.

Huge success is slowing deaths but definitely not what all was hoped with stopping the spread.
Slowing deaths was a benefit, but the policy was, and still is, clearly, explicitly "zero-Covid," what with all the masking and shutdowns, etc....

The people pushing the vaccines as the primary defense knew ZeroCovid was never in the cards, particularly given the nature of the vaccines, which manufacturers knew and disclosed a year ago would have ephemeral efficacy at stopping spread. Yet, here we are.....

The question is, would therapeutics have slowed deaths here the way it has in other countries? We will never know.

It is interesting that you continue to prop the false narrative that you are only dealing in settled science (as if the longitudinal date on this is in any way settled). The data does not prove that the vaccine is the best medical choice for everybody. I would agree it proves that if you have co-morbidities or are elderly, then the vaccine is probably the safest choice, which is why I recommended my 74 year old dad, with a history of respiratory illnesses due to Agent Orange, get it. But as for those without co-morbidities and who are not in a dangerous age bracket, the idea that the science is settled that they should get it is just false.

You are not a VN because you disagree with me. You are a VN because you ignore the facts above, while employing scare tactics designed to coerce people who may not need this vaccine into getting it. You are a VN because the vaccine is your only solution to this disease. You are a VN because of your rigidity, refusal to consider other alternatives, and your condescension toward posters who are not all in on the vaccine.

This virus was engineered by the Chinese for purposes unknown.

Mutates too quickly for any vaccine to be fully effective.

As a potential weapon this engineered virus has proven to be incredibly effective in its destructive impact upon the people and economies of the world .

Amazes me how the political, scientific, and media leadership of the United States pointedly ignores the culpability of the Chinese government in this horror.

It is not "scare tactics" nor coercion to look at the data objectively. I don't used the term "settled science" and I did not claim it was the best choice for everybody to be vaccinated. It is, however, the best medical choice for a very significant majority of Americans. Additionally, we have data over an extended period for these vaccines and we have not seen patterns that indicate a problem with vaccine safety.

Since I don't "refuse to consider other alternatives,' you appear to be ignorant or a liar or both.

It is scare tactics to present the abstract of a crappy poster claiming all kinds of scary vaccine side effects and attribute it to the American Heart Association as though it was the considered, professional opinion of that organization when it was actually a poster at a conference that ended up with a warning not to accept it at face value.
