Good point. We have to do everything in our power to bring Pride parades and BLM to Ukraine bc they are now the 51st state.
Are you that big of dumb ***** Educate your redneck self. Ukraine, Pride and BLM are not even in the same conversation . Are you really trying to conflate the 3? What is wrong with you?
Ya, I'm a dumb redneck bc our deep state created a color revolution in 2014 to install a nato puppet (Poraschenko) which began a civil war in the Russain regions of Ukraine. Sorry I dont want to get involved in a region that has been basically Russia since the year 1000. We dont have a very good track record of bringing "freedom" to foreign countries in the past 20 years. Ask Iraq, Libya or Syria how great their countries are since we came and left. If we were smart we wouldve made allies with Russia against China but the uniparty regime in DC is not smart. It seems to me and my dumb redneck world view that we enabled this whole war by pushing Nato right up to Putins doorstep and left him really no choice bc he cant be cut off from their Black sea ports.
This really isn't the forum for rational thinking. Either go off halfcocked or hold your piece.
That is rational thinking, give Putin what he wants. Go figure...
The USA is not giving Putin anything. We have purposely tanked our economy to benefit his.

America First.

Can't argue with you on that one, Biden may be doing an OK job on Ukraine, but he has destroyed the rest of the Country. No arguments here...

When you are intentionally destroying your own economy bc of your belief in failed renewables then you're either a moron or you are being made to do it by the WEF global masters. The article says that China is adding coal power plants and stock piling oil & food while we are closing power plants and adding regulations to hinder our O&G industry. We are not a serious nation that cares about its people.

Dems solution to their Biden problem is obvious.

Biden will not be their party's nominee in 2024.

Will be a much younger , more radical, person of color.,

And the Dem platform will focus on the need to 'control white nationalism ' a guaranteed income for 'special ' groups , destruction of fossil fuels, and providing all illegals the right to vote.

At todays current gas prices it will cost me $514 round trip to fill up my Yukon XL for my road trip to Orange Beach, AL this summer. At $6 it will cost me $672 round trip. Oh well, it's still cheaper than flying the whole family.
We are in the same spot and going to almost the same spot.. Debating between the truck or my wife's suv which only gets slightly better gas mileage. But we get way less cargo in it, especially with an infant and a dog.

and originally I wanted to drive to Mobile for a day to check it out, visit the USS Alabama, etc. But with gas so high that seems like way to expensive of a day trip.

Fine for you. For those that were already barely making ends meet, tripling their gasoline bill will push them over the edge.

I have noticed for people that have an excess of disposable income, the gas prices are no big deal, for everybody else if these prices are maintained for a long period you will start seeing a shrinking of the economy as poorer folks savings run out first and then their available credit is maxed out. They will simply have to stop spending.
I have heard many people talk about how they have already had to start doing that.

I've also talked with several companies at work that have had losses recently because a contract/order gets signed/placed where shipping is part of the cost but by the time the products actually ship it is now more than they charged. They ate the loss at first but are now having to figure out how to charge for constantly changing prices or just over charge people for a while or lower company costs (letting people go) to cover the expenses of shipping.

Granted these are smaller companies and not huge corporations but it it starting already from the few I have had interactions with.

Ordered a Ford Mustang Mach E last NOVEMBER.

$ 57,0000

Due to parts shortages Ford still hasn't even started building it. Maybe construction begins at the end of this month .

Lots of concerns with these vaunted electric vehicles though .

Mileage....only 320.

Charge time ......45 minutes for the first 80% of battery power and another 30 minutes ( or more ) for the last 20%.

So this thing is going to be limited to local driving when I know it will be re charging in my garage overnight .

But the high cost.....lack of availability........ and limited charging options have to be addressed before the general public can make the switch

I have been to Mobile for work once and I went downtown to have drinks at their little mini french quarter area. It was nice but I don't think I would make a special trip. When i'm down at Orange beach I dont really go anywhere except to publix to get more beer or to some of the shops to buy junk for the family.

The 320 mile range is not too bad at all. It's the availability to recharge 300 miles away from home that I would be concerned about.

Last time we went we didn't go anywhere since it was summer 2020 and Covid had everything shut down, except a few restaurants to pick up food, but I would like to do the USS Alabama/say I have been to Mobile and perhaps some of the civil war era forts.

It wasn't 80 million (legitimate) votes or anything close to that - but it was enough to give the cheating in the selected swing states the chance to work which it obviously did.

I will say I'm more and more convinced that we're actually not going to ultimately go down because of the Bidens, the Pelosis, the Schumers, or the AOCs. We're going to go down because of the sheer growing number of moronic, idiotic and 110% emotion based tard voters out there that just keep electing such clowns to office.

Interesting, but Biden had nothing to do with it.

It's global issue, spurred by recovery from COVID. Gas is high globally.

Gas would be just as high if Trump were still president.

I've also heard zero practical solutions from Republicans other than blaming Biden for it.

The only good thing is that it will make more switch to electric cars, which is good for everybody.

The masses cant afford an average price of $55k-$65k for an electric car.

Biden has done a lot to hurt the production of oil and gas. You and other liberals have done a great job at diminishing investments in oil and gas for years and it's catching up with you.

This is you reaping what you sew and hurting people in the process.

Well, Biden has had a lot to do with it. Restricting drilling on federal lands, revoking permits for offshore drilling in the gulf & ANWAR, expanding ESG which causes companies to shut down refineries. Also, switching to electric cars is not good for everybody. China owns all the rare earth minerals needed to make the batteries. Also, our power grid cannot withstand everyone charging up their cars and we dont have charging stations in place to do it. Between Texas, N Dakota and Alaska we probably have 200 years worth of oil left and thats with todays technology. Cars that operate on gas can be made even more efficient in the coming years so just telling everyone to buy an EV is pretty short sighted.

I have to disagree. There is a lot of evidence through his Executive Orders, comments and support of the Green New Deal to show Biden has hurt oil and gas production. Don't tell me, prices would be the same if Trump won?

Switching to electric cars is NOT good for everybody. I have already seen news reports for over a month from at least 3 states about possible rolling blackouts because of heat and too many people running their AC high.

Now add in thousands more cars being charged and the blackouts will increase.

A complete change to batteries and electricity would cause more environmental damage than oil and gas.

Funny, I was at a Auto Conference and spoke with some people from power companies. No one spoke to them about how the grid could handle an influx of EVs/ Couple of hundred thousand nationwide is one thing, total switch over at scale is another! I swear that "scale" is the most ignored word, people have no idea of the scale of the transportation industry. You think once a dynamic mass of EVs hit the road that it will be cheap to operate? Electric will become the new gas and we will burn more carbon in LNG power plants to support these "clean" cars. Musk is the P.T. Barnum, Steve Jobs of our time, great salesman!
