I'm reporting this thread to Baylor.

This level of racism anbd fact-denial should not be permitted on a site with any affiliation with Baylor, and this thread should be deleted by the site mods.

The governor of Utah acknowledged and apologized for this incident.

Ask Smollet or the girl at BU who did the same thing. Who knows what their motivations are, but it occurs.

Nothing wrong with not taking a story at face value.
Didn't the girl at BU come out and say she made it up? Thought I read an article to that effect

This post, in a nutshell, is a sad commentary on the current state of the world. In this day and age, we are not allowed to question the veracity of a story of alleged racism, regardless of the red flags it raises and the total lack of corroboration. Instead, we must believe the alleged victim was the target of a vicious and disgusting racist attack. The accused has no presumption of innocence, and must instead be banished from society, along with anyone who dares question the accuser's narrative, despite numerous past instances of these kinds of stories being made-up (see 1. Smollet; 2. Duke lacross accuser; 3. Baylor accuser; 4. Nick Sandmann, etc.)

Is this really the world you want to live in, where it is racist and beyond the pale to question an ESPN reporter's and the accuser's uncorroborated take on what happened?

Natasha Nkhama

Remember that situation well.

[She said she was walking to class in front of Tidwell Bible building when a male student "went out of his way to bump into [her] and shove [her] off the sidewalk." The student also told her, "No n*****s allowed on the sidewalk."

Another male student stuck up for Nkhama saying, "Dude, what are you doing? That's not cool."

"Dude, like what…I'm just trying to make America great again," the student then replied.]

Large numbers of faculty and students came out to support her.

Baylor did an investigation and found no evidence it happened.

Baylor never apologized for basically calling its white students racists.

They just quietly dropped the investigation when they found out it was all BS.

Lets not forget the black aggie student who made up a racist hoax in college station.

Before it was over the freaking FBI was involved in trying to find the dastardly white racist oppressors....turns out there were none.

https://www.kbtx.com/2020/07/10/texas-am-police-say-student-who-reported-racist-notes-placed-them-there-himself/

[In a report released to KBTX on Thursday, police at Texas A&M University said a student who reported finding racist notes on his car's windshield last month may have placed the papers there himself.

Isaih Martin, a senior at A&M, called police on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 24, to report finding three handwritten notes on his car that said "All lives matter" and "You don't belong here." The third note contained the N-word.

Police said in their report there was no nearby camera to clearly show what happened, but there was surveillance video from a nearby pool camera that showed a couple of people walking near Martin's car during that time frame, but they were only near the car for a few seconds each.

Around 12:55 p.m., Martin is seen on video walking back to his car.

"He was the only person with enough time to place the notes on his car," said police.]

It's become an epidemic across the USA.

https://www.lubbockonline.com/story/opinion/columns/2020/04/08/williams-manipulation-through-racial-hoaxes/1391131007/

[A large percentage of hate-crime hoaxes occur on college campuses. Andy Ngo writes about this in his City Journal article "Inventing Victimhood: Universities too often serve as 'hate-crime hoax' mills." St. Olaf College in Minnesota was roiled in mass "anti-racism" protests that caused classes to be canceled. It turned out that a black student activist was found to be responsible for a racist threat she left on her own car.

Andy Ngo writes that there are dozens of other examples. They all point to a sickness in American society, with our institutions of higher education too often doubling as "hate-hoax mills," encouraged by a bloated grievance industry in the form of diversity administrators. These are diversity-crazed administrators, along with professors of race and gender studies, who nationwide spend billions of dollars on diversity and a multiculturalist agenda. Racial discord and other kinds of strife are their meal tickets to greater influence and bigger budgets.

There's another set of beneficiaries to racial hoaxes and racial strife. These alleged incidents are invariably seized upon by politicians and activists looking to feed a sacrosanct belief among liberals that discrimination and oppression are the main drivers of inequality. Jason Riley, writing in The Wall Street Journal says "In the mainstream media we hear almost constant talk about scary new forms of racism: 'white privilege,' 'cultural appropriation,' and 'subtle bigotry.'" Riley mentions the work of Dr. Wilfred Reilly who is a professor of political science at Kentucky State University and author of a new book, "Hate Crime Hoax," that states "a huge percentage of the horrific hate crimes cited as evidence of contemporary bigotry are fakes." Reilly put together a data set of more than 400 confirmed cases of fake allegations that were reported to authorities between 2010 and 2017. He says that the exact number of false reports is probably unknowable, but what can be said "with absolute confidence is that the actual number of hate crime hoaxes is indisputably large. "We are not speaking here of just a few bad apples."]

We could lay this off on "community organizers" like Barack Obama, but the fact is that a compliant media desires these sorts of conflicts because it increases their views: it's clickbait. The Star Telegram writer who wrote that the Big 12 commissioner will have to lay the law down to BYU in terms of race is out of touch; you might as well criticize Texas Southern or Prairie View A&M for their lack of "diversity". Some areas of the country are just overwhelmingly white because they have little presence of black peoples historically.

Wow. Yeah go ahead and do that.

The fact that the governor jumped and commented on it doesn't mean anything.

How many politicians at the city, state and national level jumped on the Smollet story? Answer hundreds.

None of those politicians commenting on it, apologizing it, holding press conferences with him, tweeting about it, etc. made it true. It just showed they were so ready to blindly accept it as true without any details at all. Like this story.

Honestly, have you been paying attention? Today's most valuable currency is victimization. A no-name volleyball player just became a celebrity for a day and got attention and love from ESPN. There have been more racial hoaxes than actual incidents in the last 10 years and it is not even close. Basic common sense easily explains in 2022 the odds of a Gen Zer yelling racial slurs in public vs. a person making it up ...

How would you even be able to guess the ratio of racist hoax to real racist incident? Is this "common sense" talking? Seems your perception may be skewed.

Maybe you would like to litter this thread with all of the major stories of racism over the past few years, that were NOT a hoax?
That would be a good first step towards calculating that ratio.... you up for that?

There have already been a ton of examples of national stories, which later turned out to be fake... so maybe you can remind us of all the national stories which were true? I'm sure there must be hundreds... maybe thousands, right?
