Well, except that Haley and DeSantis have been polling better than Trump for weeks.

No doubt it will be another close election (loss, IMO) if it's Trump. But give me a candidate who can soundly beat Biden, instead of a retread loser who hasn't won a thing since 2016.
They don't get it.

They are never going to get it.

They honestly believe the rest of the country thinks and votes like old white guys.
47 is an old white guy(alledgedly) are we voting like him?

Where exactly have DeSantis and Haley been polling ahead of Trump?
Read the link in the post about 5 posts above mine, as well as the separate thread I started that includes another poll that says the same thing.

https://sicem365.com/forums/7/topics/134912

I've posted 2-3 others over the last couple of months as well.
So you found one or two you like.

Sorry Clark, that does not make your statement true, as there are far more polls showing Trump in firm command.

Bottom line is that while DeSantis has governed well and Haley sometimes makes points, they are both piss-poor campaigners.

So I post two polls and reference several others that say DeSantis and Haley would perform better against Biden in a general election and your only retort is "sorry Clark that doesn't make it true?"

Lol. Classic Oldbear - putting his fingers in his ears and screaming really loudly. You're a hoot.

Tell you what, I'll give you a chance to prove your snarky point. Cite those many polls in the last couple of months that have Trump performing so much better against Biden than Haley and DeSantis in a general election. Should be pretty easy since you claim they're so many.

I'll hang up and listen.

I suspect that Trump will win the Republican Primary hands down and either the establishment (with help from the dems) will find a way to keep him from being the nominee and slide Nikki Haley into his spot

or

They Trump ends up being the nominee and then they'll convince Haley to run independent.

More likely scenario is Trump is the nominee and wets the bed. Again.

I'm glad you are having fun, Mothra. But you continue to cherry-pick polls, and that won't go where you seem to think.

As for your last line, it would be nice if you started listening, but I won't hold my breath.

Good grief man; forget this ' poll game '.

Let's cut to the chase.

Do you predict Trump is going to receive enough votes from women, minorites, and independents to overcome his possible convictions on multiple indictments regarding both state and federal charges ?

That Donald Trump can WIN back the White House ?

One word answers.

Mine is ' no '.

Yep, the Never Trumpers (like yourself) won't check their emotions at the door, apply a little logic and just let Biden waltz right back into the White House.

If you want to blame those voting for Trump in the primary, then you need to blame yourself for not voting for Trump in the general.

What is it with you and this if you don't love Trump you are pro-Biden??? The two are not related. If on November 1st we are in that position, than it is a decision to make. To say in January not supporting Trump is giving Biden the WH is ridiculous. My dislike of Trump has NOTHING to do with Biden. Biden is the worst President in history. It is not an either/or until November.

You repeat your same putrid idiocy over and over.

If such 'logic' made sense the Republican nominee would win every election.

But the nominee needs to appeal to INDEPENDENTS to win.

For the simple reason there are millions more registered Democrats than Republicans.

Really think a man under indictment of state and federal charges is going to win those independents ?

And if Trump gets convicted of even a single count ?

Republicans HAVE to appeal to a majority.independents to stand any real chance to win. And that reality has been in place regarding national elections for DECADES.

In local elections where one party dominates bad candidates can occasionally win.

Even horribly flawed candidates.

But in national elections the Republicans are outnumbered by Democrats. So this fantasy that party loyalty in general elections are all that is required for Trump to win is ludicrous.

I'd rather DeSantis be the nominee. But, it's almost a certainty not going to happen. So we can do two things 1) Piss and moan and gripe about Trump and blame the stupid MAGA people who voted for him in the White House or 2) Go vote for the bad orange boogey man.

Yes, Trump is a brash ******* who has no filter and invites chaos. The guy can't even pick and choose his battles.

What is it with? Well, genius, my beef is with people who sit on their high horse and try to blame people for voting for Trump in the primary, but refuse to accept any blame for they themselves not voting for Trump in the general.

If you don't want to vote for Trump, then don't, but don't pretend it's only Trump supporters that are too blame and none of it falls on the Never Trumpers.

And I'm a DeSantis guy.
You openly blame people voting for Biden. Why shouldn't the Trump voters get the same scrutiny? And for all the "uniparty" "swamp" fist pounding, it's odd to see the criticisms being leveled at those that would actually be voting against that cycle.
Never once did I say the Trump voters wouldn't be to blame. I have said, more than once, that the Never Trumpers will be as much to blame as the Only Trumpers.

I've never said anything about "uniparty"
Apologies if you didn't say uniparty, but a lot of the Trump lot fling that around.

And make no mistake, Donald Trump, not any voters, are to blame. Bad candidates are bad candidates and he chose to run when he didn't have to.

In local elections where one party dominates bad candidates can occasionally win.

Even horribly flawed candidates.

But in national elections the Republicans are outnumbered by Democrats. So this fantasy that party loyalty in general elections are all that is required for Trump to win is ludicrous.

I'm not talking party loyalty. I'm talking Never Trumpers, or do you not understand that? The Never Trumpers exist across the political spectrum.

If you think has Biden and his policies have been awful for this country and you just sit home and let him walk back into the White House, then that's partly on you and the rest of the Never Trumpers.

This isn't hard to understand

The MAGA crowd will be to blame when Trump wins the primary
The MAGA crowd will be partly to blame when Trump loses the election, along with the blame of the Never Trumpers.

But please, stay home and not vote the big bad orange man because you think here's no point in voting anyway.

So effin' stupid.

Yes Trump will be partly to blame.

It's just short-sighted and asinine to believe if Biden walks back into the White House, it's only the fault of those stupid Trump voters.

He gives the democrats and media too much ammunition and frankly his last go 'round was very tiresome to watch. But is sure was a hell of a lot better than the ****show we've had the past 3 years.

Repeating the same ridiculous mantra while ignoring the realities in the relative numbers of registered Republicans versus registered Democrats is simply bizarre.

That you are vainly attempting to blame the voters instead of the candidate himself is even more bizarre.

Maybe whiskey and the resulting dead brain cells are the problem.

Tell me this dummy.

How is Trump going to win enough INDEPENDENT voters to make up the deficit in registered voters ?

Because if EVERY registered voter ; votes for his party's nominee in the general…..,

Trump loses.

Come on dummy.

Tell me how Trump makes up the vote deficit.

By the way, I though you put me on ignore. Couldn't help yourself, I see.
