No matter how one arranges the details of this election process.

Trump is going to lose.

One way or another.

Dems didn't raid his house, invent damages of hundreds of millions of dollars , and alter state laws to find a 'crime'……

just to play nice in November when it matters most.

And 90% of the media will dare the American people to do anything about it.

What happens on July 11th will be a signal. If Trump is imprisoned in Riker's Island or placed under house arrest that will tell us where they are going to go by the end of the year.

As far as the margin of fraud goes, historically it's been around 3%. That's back in the day when the Democrats would routinely go to courts to have polls in specific democrat districts to stay open late, that sort of thing. In a world where they can junk mail ballots, harvest them, and put them in anonymous drop boxes to be counted we just don't know what that margin of fraud is. It's almost certainly more than 3%. If you look at the Whitmer-Dixon election in Michigan, the polls were basically calling a dead heat in an election that Whitmer "won" by 10 points. That may be a signal of where things stand today.

Also, keep an eye on the War in Ukraine. Having NATO military forces directly attacking Russians will likely spark a nuclear detonation. That - and a variety of other disturbances - opens the door to martial law before the November election. This could lead to anything from the "delay" of the election until the crisis is over all the way up to closing polls in unfavorable jurisdictions to arresting republicans.

"Further, martial law suspends all existing laws, as well as civil authority and the ordinary administration of justice. In the United States, martial law may be declared by proclamation of the President or a State governor, but such a formal proclamation is not necessary. Although the U.S. Constitution makes no specific provision for the imposition of martial law, nearly every State has a constitutional provision authorizing the government to impose martial law. The power of martial law, once held to be nearly absolute, has limitations; for example, civilians may not be tried by military tribunals as long as civilian courts are functional [note that proviso: when Hawaii was under martial law following Pearl Harbor, American Citizens were being tried and imprisoned for civil matters by military tribunals. So they can close the courts if they wish]. Nonetheless, within the bounds of court decisions, a military commander's authority under martial law is virtually unlimited."

What won't they do? They are trying to put the front runner in the presidential race in prison for the rest of his life for things that aren't crimes. It answers its own question. They will do anything, and I would expect that to continue. I really do think the formality of these elections is irksome to them. The whole idea that people they despise have a role in choosing the government, or have any power whatsoever, or be disobedient in any way. So they hate elections. The defenders of democracy hate democracy, and so they will go very very far in eliminating it.

Can't do it, there is not enough in tariff's to offset income tax. You would have to raise tariff's 130% and the costs of goods would skyrocket.

Now, an increase in tariff's and a flat 10% income tax for everyone above poverty level? That may work.

I like the creativity and the spirit. Would he be open to what an actual analysis and massaging would turn up?

Eliminating the income tax and replacing it with tariffs, the percentage of which are based on the differential between the average income in the US and the average income in the other country would be brilliant. It would completely eliminate the driving factor behind offshoring US jobs and dramatically improve upward mobility in American society.

Quote:

flat 10% income tax for everyone above poverty level?

That's not a flat income tax. It's a progressive income tax with two brackets: 0% and 10%.

And what would the price of goods look like under the Tarriff plan? Chinese companies are just going to eat it? What happened to American Farmers under the last tariff war?

As for "progressive" taxes all taxes are progressive to some point, you will always have a group that pays 0. The "Flat Percentage" tax is as simple as it gets, set the % on whatever balances the books. It is better than the fiasco we have now.

I dont care. Let imported goods skyrocket and we just make more stuff here or do a mix like you suggest. Larry Fink from Blackrock saying that we are past the point of taxes even making a dent at like 130% debt to GDP. We need a different solution than just raising taxes.

We agree on the different solution. I like the idea of a combination solution, a Jack Kemp "Flat Tax", increased tariffs, and even other resources PLUS growth is the type of Plan we need to get to the 135% mark.

The increase in the number of illegal border crossers on the terrorist watch list under Biden compared to Trump.

...and that's only the ones that "Homeland Security" has caught.

I would avoid malls, stadiums, and other large public gatherings that could turn into mass casualty events for the next six months...and always be armed when you go out in public.

They always have been. Only difference now is that it's more obvious.

That's probably true of everyone on their network. CNN too.

The 90-minute debate, scheduled to take place on June 27 in Atlanta, will be hosted by CNN's Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. It will be the first in-person face off between Biden and Trump since they stood alongside one another on debate stages during the 2020 cycle.

Both candidates accepted the network's invitation to debate last month, agreeing to certain rules and formats that were outlined in CNN letters to their respective campaigns.

CNN said there will be two commercial breaks during the debate, and candidates are not allowed to consult with other members of their campaign during that time.

The network also noted that candidates' podiums and positions will be determined by a coin flip, their mics will be muted outside of speaking time, and that they will only be provided with a pen, a notepad, and a bottle of water.

Candidates will not be allowed to bring props or prepared notes.

For the first time in recent history, the debate between presidential contenders won't have a studio audience.

he'll give another bizarre over-amped, frantic-talking performance like the SOTU. the hurdle of expectations is set so low for him at this point, it'll be easy to claim success. if i was trump, i'd just let him talk. voters deserve an informal town hall instead of this rigid format. they need to see the awkward shuffling and stiff arms without a podium to hide him.

he will quickly retreat to Delaware after to recover.

Trump may win Michigan. I call it a coin flip. But it sure as heck won't be because KK endorsed him. He resigned as mayor in disgrace, and Trump commuted his sentence. KK is a pariah in Michigan.
