I think a lot of people underestimate the grueling character of a long political campaign. Trump has been essentially campaigning since 2021, and most of that time has been reasonably focused on President Biden as his opponent.

While the change from Biden to Harris is not unexpected, there are now different forces and vectors at work, and so a certain amount of uncertainty exists. Add to that the way the mainstream media has lined up behind Harris, essentially ignoring her time as Vice-President under Biden so she can pretend to be the 'change candidate', and I believe Trump feels pressured to attack her since he sees no one else doing it.

Hopefully, this will be a temporary behavior, as Harris has made a number of mistakes which - if Trump will let them - will damage Harris without Trump having to do much more than just stay on a policy message.

When it's something as easy as this to check, I usually don't ask for a source. If I can't easily verify then I ask for a source. So beyond the absurdity of believing no one would show up for a Harris rally (what Trump said), the ease with which to check this just goes to show how disconnected Trump and his sycophants are. The latter is why this even had any traction on social media.

If that is the case, this is over. He is floundering. Polls may not be showing it yet, but so far all the BS he and Vance are focusing on are easily swatted away by Harris. Once again, Trump is focusing on issues that only those already voting for him care about.

There is a difference between going against the Base and bringing up issues that only matter to your base. The For example, the Vance infatuation with focusing on Walz's retirement after 24 years is one of them. he won't get off it and it is not playing like he wants. The Base love it, but the voters still in play believe that 24 years is enough and he did nothing wrong. It is now working against Vance.

Same with the crowds, Kamala's ethnicity, and even Harris's knowledge of Biden's mental capacity. Those are non-winners. He HAS to bang on the economy, energy and immigration (Geez, there is enough there!). Even people with good incomes are having trouble making ends meet. Hit the economy...
