It's scary.... but you hardly ever hear either side talking about the federal deficit anymore. Which I guess means it does not move the needle for voters.

Because the only solutions are to cut spending and / or increase taxes.

Either of which is political suicide during an election year.

The debt is so out of control that at this point even raising taxes and cutting spending might not do it

You would need draconian cuts to the Federal budget and Nordic style tax increases

The economy would probably implode (mass job losses)

DC has led us into a no exit situation
Suspect almost everyone in DC knows this.

Growth of votes in the Texas triangle is not a good thing…it's an area tending blue

Texas GOP pro-business sunbelt (just like Californian Republicans before them) have a nack for turning their States liberal

The question is, why? Influx of out-of-staters? Dying GOP?

Since the pandemic, we have had 6 homes on our street sell to out of staters. 5 of them have Harris-Walz signs in the yard. 3 families from CA. Not sure where the rest are from.

They're too stupid to realize that the reason Texas is such a great and somewhat inexpensive place to live is because of the politics. Yet, they vote in a way that turns it into the place they left. Incredible.

It does work, but the classical explanation of it (lowering taxes increases revenue) leaves something to be desired. Obviously a tax rate of 0% results in zero revenue. A better understanding is that at some point, increases in the marginal tax rate become egregious enough that the incentive to avoid paying it increases to the point that revenue falls.

They are socialists / communists / fascists. They have little to no understanding of economic reality, or any other kind of reality it seems.

How many of these new voters recently moved to Texas from other states and how many are illegals plan to vote fraudulently? This is an important question.

Future political power.

Which is why of course Biden's puppet masters not only canceled Trumps Executive Orders regarding border control …..they publicly invited millions of illegals to invade our country with the promises of free food, shelter and medical care.

It's so obvious yet few say it out loud.

My county - Williamson - it has to be new residents coming in from blue states. I know them personally. They like the Texas economy but still have liberal views on social issues.

Last election. Williamson county voted Biden over Trump.

Biden: 143,795
Trump: 139,729

We are in Williamson as well. So many blue state residents have moved into our neighborhood.

Depends on your definition of landslide.

He's in a great electoral place, and I could see him maybe winning the Popular Vote, but most likely with a plurality, not a majority, unless things in Harrisville completely collapse between now and two Tuesdays from now.

Fair enough. I'm thinking Trump could get 55% or more of the popular vote. That would be a landslide. Any Electoral College result north of 290 probably would classify as well. 300+ definitely.

A EC landslide is more likely but a sweep is possible.

No offense my friend….. but the rest of the country does not reflect the viewpoint of Alex Jones, Sic 'Em 365 or the members of your Church.

Trump will be exceptionally fortunate to win by even a single electoral vote.

I'd say Trump is having a lot more fun than 2016, despite the assassination attempts and all other stupid ploys by the fascists.

I found this article interesting, and that the results are applicable for both ends of the spectrum. It also made me wish I had done something similar in the classes I taught. If actions like this were taken in high school and/or college, we might have a public better informed with tools to discern the truth. I certainly wouldn't expect us to something like this voluntarily.

Either way the dude wins, at least that's the way it appears. I wonder what changes will have taken place by 2028, although a large portion of that depends on who and which party controls one or both houses of Congress, at least to a point.
