It's odd that you all of a sudden don't. So now that we're done with the obligatory ad hominems, here's the difference. Trump is a president-elect using the threat of executive power to obstruct a prosecution to which he himself is a party. Are you not even a little bit troubled by that?Mothra said:Sure, unless they've committed cognizable crimes. I just think it's odd you all the sudden have a problem with it. You didn't seem to have much righteous indignation when it was Republicans being prosecuted.Sam Lowry said:So, back to the question of imprisoning "leftist" prosecutors and judges. I assume you think that's evil and malignant too?Oldbear83 said:
Give me a break, Sam. Not one of the charges against Trump would have even been brought, except the Democrats coordinated a series of suits and accusations intended to hurt his image and cost him money/energy/time.
Your pathetic defense of such tactics reveals a nasty lack of character, Sam. And yet malignant haters like you actually helped the voters to understand that Trump represented anyone who got in the way of the Machine.
A lot of people voted for Trump despite his ego and hyperbole, precisely because they learned the Left really is evil, and their supporters are everything they accuse MAGA people of being.
But now it's a bridge too far for Sam Lowry. LOL.
Claire has written some brilliant pieces this year but I think her analysis of Donald Trump's 2024 presidential victory is her best - I will not summarise. Read it all. Bravo @clairlemon pic.twitter.com/WIsWrl1Yoo

Right now Sam, you ought to pay more attention to your own evil and malignant behavior than throwing out another batch of malicious accusations.
I am not terribly concerned about hypothetical lawfare by Trump on various Democrat operatives. If he engages in the same kind of conduct that has been employed against him the last 4 years once he takes office, then we can talk.Sam Lowry said:It's odd that you all of a sudden don't. And as tiresome as it is to keep doing so, I will set the record straight once again. To see a president or former president prosecuted is always concerning. The Mar-a-Lago case set a terrible precedent, as I said at the time. The problem is that the DOJ would have set at least an equally bad precedent by not acting. Trump didn't give them a choice. You can't really make that argument here. There are no national security interests at stake. This is Trump threatening a prosecutor solely for his own benefit.Mothra said:I am not terribly concerned about hypothetical lawfare by Trump on various Democrat operatives. Quote:
The Harris campaign and its affiliated committees dropped more than $654 million on advertising from July 22 to Election Day, whereas Trump spent $378 million, or 57% less, in the same category, according to data from AdImpact.
Payroll and the taxes that accompanied it accounted for $56.6 million of the Harris campaign's spending. In comparison, the Trump campaign reported spending $9 million on payroll employing hundreds fewer staff members.
One vendor, Village Marketing Agency, received over $3.9 million and reportedly worked to recruit thousands of social media influencers to boost Harris online. Others that scored lucrative consulting gigs from the campaign included the likes of Precision Strategies, a Democratic-aligned marketing agency; Ethos Organizing, founded by former Ohio Democratic Party director Malik Hubbard; and the Biden-allied SKDK communications firm.
Some are still coming to grips with the shellacking they took while most other Dem lunatics are doubling-down on their rhetoric. Starr County in Texas is the ultimate example of reaping what Democrats sowed. The last time this 97% Hispanic County was red was 1892!!! pic.twitter.com/ILO9c4TQxT
