I think it is bad for the country that a former president got indicted.
Trump may be the first, but he won't be the last. You pick the man, I'll find the crime. This is a bad road we're traveling.
Agreed.
There will be revenge 'investigations' as well as political prosecutions.
The worst part is, this will drive away people we need in office. Only the power-hungry and the demagogues will be willing to tough the gauntlet in order to win office. Those who simply want to serve their country will seek other avenues.
How would holding criminals responsible for their actions drive away honest people from politics? Trump is the swamp we need to be rid of. Letting him lie and break laws under the thin guise of "well but he's a political candidate for the 13th time" is exactly what would drive away honest people from politics.
He lost his last bid. How many theoretical runs does he need before its ok with you that he is indicted?
So you're cool with ignoring the statute of limitations, conflating misdemeanors into felonies, hijacking federal matters as a county DA, et cetera, all so you can "get" the guy you hate?
Maybe Trump is as bad as you say over and over, but if that's the case I figure you can charge him on something that isn't as fake as a Rolex with two K's.
Because that is what you have here. A worthless case that only got a Grand Jury to indict Trump because the DA packed the room and told them his favorite stories about a man who has
publicly hated since he ran for DA.
What we have here is a Kangaroo Court.
Come back when you have a real case.
If he's that bad, you should easily find solid evidence of real crimes.
Look, I never claimed Trump is a Boy Scout. But this is a sham, and playing this game won't go anywhere good for our nation.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier
