Trump has convinced some here that everybody does it, so everybody ought to get to do it
There you see TDS Stage 4: Even when Trump is the victim of some outrageous behavior against him, it's somehow still his fault.

That post has all the critical thought of a Pee Wee Herman monologue.

How about we try this?

Donald Trump is an opportunist and full-on-bloviator, the kind of guy who can watch Joe Isuzu and not see it for parody. He has cheated on multiple wives and worked a number of deals where he made out all right but others took a loss. Trump is thin-skinned and a narcissist on his good days.

With all that said, you would be hard-pressed to find specific evidence that Donald Trump knowingly broke the law. I can say this, because I know his enemies have spent literally the better part of seven years now trying to find anything they could use against him, and nothing, literally nothing, has been produced.

Whether Trump should ever be President again is one topic. Rigging the court system to harass him so he can't even run is b u l l s h i t beyond any excuse.

If you can't admit that fact, you have completely lost any decency yourself.

And for the record, DeSantis has so far handled this issue perfectly.

I want Trump out of politics and I knew this was a sham but had no idea how political this really was. Read this thread about Biden's #3 guy at the DOJ that went to work with the Manhattan DA to make up this case. He's as dirty and liberal as they come.

I agree with you. Trump is poison. The longer he stays in, the more of these events will happen and we will have to listen to more asinine speeches like last hour.

Rather than talking about the Biden failures and policies, we are talking about Fact Checking Trump speeches.
also not talking about Democrats abusing power for political purposes to distract voters from failures of Democrat policies.
Yup, the Dems are loving Trump. Obama and Biden probably watched the speech with popcorn. Yelling at the TV, "you go!!!"

Doesn't matter what you and I believe. The point is that violations of federal campaign finance laws are not even in Bragg's power to prosecute as a district attorney. Yet in order to convict, Bragg will need to prove Trump tried to conceal federal campaign finance violations that he has not been charged with and that are not actually named in the indictment. It's absolutely absurd banana republic bull *****

Regardless of how one feels about trump, we should all be concerned with what's happening in New York.

He had to charge the cover-up as the acts being covered are barred by limitations. It's basic prosecution.

To the contrary, he didn't have to do anything. He chose to try to seek an indictment of something unprecedented, and without solid legal footing. And now he's got to prove that a federal crime occurred many years ago to prove his case, despite lacking the jurisdiction to prosecute same..

There's nothing basic about it. But good to know you're cool with political prosecutions.

First, you're good with political prosecutions, too, you just can't admit it now.
Second, I have no idea how the court is going to treat state prosecution of federal crimes. SDNY already passed on it.
Third, why the reference to "many years ago"? If you're talking about limitations the bar won't hit until April 15.

What a bunch of bull***** I've never even addressed white water on these boards. I do recall saying that the Republicans prosecution of Clinton was a huge mistake.

As for John Wiley price, the idea that the FBI's case against him was a political prosecution is total BS. It's well known that old John was taking bribes. You should see his classic car collection. The federal prosecutor ****ed that one up. That's on them. That was in no way a political prosecution.

Best possible result for the Republican Party would be for Trump to be found guilty of ANYTHING that would prohibit him from winning the Republican nomination in 2024 .

Which is why......when push comes to shove.....Dem power brokers will find a way to let 'poor martyr Trump' off the hook.

And available for the Republican nomination .......only to to lose the 2024 general election by an even larger margin than in 2020 .

Oh yeah. And idiot Trump playing right into the plan. He is so damn predictable, he CAN'T keep his mouth shut. Everytime he opens it, his whacko base digs in deeper and the independents/moderates rationalize that Biden is really not that bad.
