July 2020 during the BLM marches, a group of people surrounded Perry's car in downtown Austin. Garrett Foster approached the car with his gun pointed at him, Perry says.

Austin has quickly become San Francisco in Texas. It has become a place in Texas to avoid if any way possible.

Been the case for at least 15 years.

Democrats know for a fact that this was proper self defense.

They seek and enjoy political persecution.

Hard to see in the video. Was the protesting mN pointing his gun or just carrying it? I havent read much about the c.ase. was the shooter the man they interviewed earlier that waa upset about not being allowed to march?

There is an old saying, - "If you go looking for trouble, you will surely find it. " This applied to Kyle Rittenhouse as well.

You are dumb as f*** to SURROUND a person's car. It's like backing a tiger into a corner, they are going to do whatever they have to do in self defense. Remember Reginald Denny? Nobody wants to become that guy.

That was one of the main tactics of BLM during the "summer of love and racial justice"

There are a large number of videos online of mobs blocking roads and surrounding peoples cars while engaging in threating behavior.

OMG, This car is driving on the road rather than get pulled out of his car and pummeled to death!

Absolutely! If I heard there was going to be an Antifa/ BLM rally in San Antonio, the last thing I am going to do is be in the middle of that idiocy.

Not going to be popular but isnt the reason we have trials with juries is to keep one person from detrmining guilt? Wasnt this man judged by a jury? How will we feel when a democrat gov or pres throws away a jury decision?

Serious question - someone in a mob aims a loaded rifle at you.

You have a gun.

What do you do?

This is not about politics.

Oh your view would be very popular in many circles .

But you seem to crave the attention that comes from stirring the pot .

So all executive pardons are wrong? Should the power to pardon be abolished?

Shoot him.

I havent watched all the available video. I never saw the dead guy raising his rifle. Maybe he did. The shooter cerainly had a god given right to carry his weapon also. The jury probably had all the info and saw all the clips. Our system is based on jury trials. Why have juries if one man can defeat the system? I havent seen this poiont mentioned. None of us will like it if a dem official overturns a jury decision. You said it is not about politics. I have heard its a liberal Soros appointed or supported judge.

"Democrats know for a fact that this was proper self defense.
They seek and enjoy political persecution."

"Liberal DA's"

"Foster, a fat libtard "ally", an unemployed antifa boogaloo boy with a black disabled girlfriend"

Leftists, when discussing obvious self defense situations, say stuff like "he had no business going to a riot" as if the defendants in these situations aren't free Americans who can go wherever they damn well please at any hour.

Peoples Republic of Austin.

It seems to be political. I am pointing out I think we either need juries to do their job or stop wasting time and the political leader of the moment decide. Why go to all the trouble of a trial. It would be faster to just to let some vote winning official delare guily or innocent.

I dont know all of the executive pardons but the ones I remember were political in nature.

I remember B Clinton's "Pardongate". Repubs were in an uproar and rightly so.

Trump got some pardoned that have already turned around and gotten back in trouble.

I know both sides do it.

I would stop officials from giving get out of jail cards to their cronies. Let juries rulings stand..

Ma and Pa Ferguson pardoned dozens of convicted Texas felons .

Practically made a cottage industry out of the process.

Have a really hard time with this one. No doubt the Travis County DA is as bad as they come. He truly is as incompetent DA as any in the United States, and his decision not to prosecute criminals has made Austin unsafe.

But this man was tried by a jury of his peers, who believed he did something wrong. And believe it or not, Travis County juries aren't the bastion of liberals that people think they are. They are very diverse in both race and politics.

I haven't seen all the evidence, but I suspect there is a lot more to this story.

I think the guy's text messages and social media posts hurt him a lot. He was basically telling his friends he was going out to hunt libs.
