Go look at the Netherlands (size of Vermont) and you can see what a non-corrupt and serious government can do....and has to do to be successful.

Denmark is up there as well.

Two Germanic states that have basically nothing to work with and basically crap land.

Those two countries might not be the success stories you think they are. They have all the same problems of overbearing governments, ruinous socialist policies, too many immigrants not assimilating, etc. look at the farmers protests in the Netherlands and now in Germany too for an illustration.

A two state solution now, in the midst of a war Hamas started, is the same as a surrender. Of course Netanyahu is going to turn it down. No sane Israeli leader is going to volunteer to help their enemies with a second Holocaust.
