I don't believe killing the entire population of Gaza will insure everlasting peace for the Jewish State .

If Hamas isn't willing to reach a truce at this point ; killing another 20000-40,000 individuals probably won't matter either.

Israel? Once again the Arabs started a military action, once again they are getting destroyed, once again they are losing territory.

This is on the Arabs. Israel gave the people corridors to leave and Hamas held them Israel said what they were going to do. At some places int the people have to stop following Hamas, which keeps getting them in worse and worse situations.

The Islamofascist Hamas are evil and must be destroyed. Period. End of argument.

Islam has been waging wars of conquest, enslavement, and extermination against everyone since Mohammed founded it. India, Persia, Russia, Spain, Eastern Europe, Byzantium, and our trading fleets shortly after the founding of the US (where the "shores of Tripoli" in the Marine Hymn came from). Israel and Hamas are only the two latest snakes on the head of this millenium and a half old Hydra.

If you destroy Hamas, something else will arise as ISIS did, Al Qaida did, the Muslim Brotherhood did, the PLO did, etc. Terrorism is merely the alternative expression of Islamic ideology regarding Jihad after the formal national militaries of the Ottoman Empire were defeated.

You either find a way to live with Islam, or attack and destroy/discredit it completely like the Romans did to the Old Testament Judaism in 70 AD during the siege of Jerusalem.

They are not getting stronger. They only exist because of outside help: Iran provides weapons while the UN, the US, Europe, etc provide "humanitarian" aid, much of which is diverted to the terrorists. The only "successes" they have ever had were in terrorist attacks such as October 7.

Actually, that's another argument for destroying the organization as much as possible.
Without a viable agreement which reduces the misery of 2 million people crammed into the miniscule Gaza strip; perpetual warfare is assured.

Which will eventually result in the destruction of Israel as US financial and military support withers away.

Perhaps their Muslim brothers should welcome them with open arms. Except they don't want them in their countries either.

True

Their Muslim brothers realize the confined misery of the Gaza strip produces an unending supply of martyrs for their proxy wars against Israel.

I was in Lebanon in April. That is one interesting place. We stayed in Beruit, but hosts had us all over the country including the south which is Hezzbola territory . Our hosts were of the Christian variety. It is about 90-10 Muslim/Christian. We were in the south and we found out that our host paid off Hezzbo so that we could visit places that were under their control. We didn't find out till toward the end of the trip that we had security everywhere we went, but didn't know it. Just how it works. It is really sad to see what has happened to that amazing country and culture.

The Hamas have brought all this misery on to the Palestinian People when they attacked innocent people on October 7th. If the Palestinian People continue to house and protect terrorist activities they will continue to experience the wrath of western nations.

Biden keeps pushing for a cease fire, but Israel needs to complete the grim task of clearing out the Hamas terrorist out of Gaza. It is important to state over and over that the Hamas are the ones that brought this on.

Then they should have agreed to any number of alternative options they had available over the years. You could give them the entire area and if 1 Jew was in it they wouldn't be happy.

This has nothing to do with Gaza and everything to do with their hatred of Jews which would rage regardless of location.

Possibly so.

But widespread slaughter of Gaza civilians isn't going to improve matters.

Israel will need either to wipe Gaza off the face of the earth driving the survivors into Egypt or reach some kind of settlement.

And it's unlikely Egypt will accept 2 million refugees.

My wife is of Lebanese descent. Many of her aunts and cousins came to the US directly from Lebanon.

All are Christians; and all bemoan what has occurred in Lebanon over the last 40! years. How the Muslims forced most Christians out of the country with terror tactics. Including the kidnapping of young Christian girls.

Irregardless I envy your ability to visit the country as it has long been on my bucket list. You certainly live well.

BTW my wife tells me Beruit used to be so beautiful and cosmopolitan that it was commonly known as Paris of the Middle East. Now she feels it is not worth the risk to go.

I agree. There is no reasonable outcome here. This is a much more complex issue than people think and whatever the outcome it's a short term solution.

You can't have a group of people who believe that the only outcome is the complete elimination of the other side and that's the only acceptable outcome for the Palestinians.

It is impossible to negotiate with somebody who sold desire is to destroy & annihilate you. The Israelis are not stupid they will not negotiate unless they see some advantage. Unfortunately many Westerners are stupid or very duplicitous.

On the other hand, if Israel prevails in this war and destroys Hamas to a large degree they might revive and start up again later on but there will be a few years of peace in the meantime.

I have been fortunate to travel all over the world, and that is in my top 3 trips. The warmth of the people, really getting to see it up close and personal. Lebanon is so beautiful. The biblical history is awesome. Somehow, our hosts got us into this small chapel that most can't access and it was the place where St. Paul and St. Peter had their last meeting. You can ski in the morning and be at the beach in the afternoon. The food...oh, the food! Great wine too! (that is why we were there). Our friends fled when all this broke out. Thankfully , most have homes in Europe, but they are so worried about their beautiful homes getting bombed. Once this settles. I'd highly recommend. I can tell you where to stay and what to do.

Anyone who wants to end the "widespread slaughter of Gaza civilians" must work hard for a quick Israeli victory because that is the only way it will happen.

Egypt won't take any of the refugees. They don't want them. Nobody wants them because they are disruptive wherever they go. They don't know how to act like civilized humans. Their continued support for Hamas proved that.

Even one week ago I would have agreed with your assessment.

But now Biden is worried about losing the Muslim vote and Michigan with it.

In addition along with today's convoy massacre, our Secretary of Defense testified under oath that approximately 25,000 women and children have been killed in Gaza. BTW this number comes from Gaza sources but the Secretary of Defense magically decided to validate the number.

Obviously he got permission from the White House before going on record with such a dramatic statement.
So clearly Biden ( or his handlers ) are about to make a major policy shift in regards to Israel.

Israel insists on slaughtering Gaza civilians on a daily basis.

And long time supporters of Israel are beginning to re evaluate their long held motions of the Jewish State .
