Whether these people are telling you what to think about the facts, or telling the facts themselves, is at all times unclear. It can certainly be cleaned up. They should imo be responsible for labeling any segment of their show opinion, when not reporting facts. Same way the paper would have opinion columns, and editorials.

The legacy media has been regurgitating the party line for decades. Only it's more obvious now as they don't try to pretend otherwise. Anyone who regularly listened to Rush Limbaugh a few years ago will remember his montages of the media "reporting" on an event: they all used the exact some descriptive phrase. It was almost as if there was an agreement on exactly how to spin a narrative with no pretense at objectivity or real journalism. Most of their tactics are more subtle but they are often clear when one looks for it.

There are lots of opinions out there masquerading as facts. Both sides do it all the time. It's human nature. But the Left has a monopoly on presenting blatant lies as facts. They cannot honestly define a woman and anyone who disagrees with them is a racist or misogynist. These are two of the most obvious examples, but there are dozens more every day. Every time I see any amount of CNN, MSNBC, etc it includes examples. It's their normal modus operandi.

I have read Lacan's work. It's academic charlatanism. Psychoanalysis in general, and not just Lacan's version of it, is today seen by most psychologists/psychiatrists as a dead end or even a fraud for purposes of therapy or scientific research.

I'm not trying to speak for Historian, but an obvious example is the MSM's constant use of the Goebbels "Big Lie" tactic - such as virtually in unison repeating over and over that Trump is Hitler and his supporters are Nazis. It's clearly a total lie if anyone is even somewhat historically informed, but enough of the "masses" have bought it (as Goebbels sadly predicted roughly 90 years ago) that relationships are now ending and family members are becoming estranged over it.
