No update on how much was raised in his defense, but it was well over 2mil in Aug 2023 after the DA pressed charges

I think the way they dismissed it cannot be. However they would fools to bring them again.
I am pretty certain that the higher charge was dismissed with prejudice given that it was requested by the prosecution. I am happy for Penny. Even a NYC jury got it right.

He probably needs to move all of his assets into a trust like yesterday because the bar is much lower in a civil trial. He shouldn't have to pay a dime and the criminal dismissal will certainly help his defense in the civil trial but I would make sure his personal net worth is $0.00.
