I read somewhere the Native Americans on whom the logo was originally based want it and the name restored.

In virtually every case where a sports team has used nicknames referring to Native Americans it has been done out of respect or to even to honor them or acknowledge them as being historically connected to the area where the sports team is (example - Florida State Seminoles). As another example, the former Cleveland Indians baseball team (now the "Guardians") gave themselves that nickname as a way to honor and memorialize a famous player in the early history of the franchise who happened to be a Native American. There is no example you can come up with where some team using these types of nicknames is doing it in a mocking or hateful way any more than Notre Dame is making fun of Ireland by calling themselves the "Fighting Irish". The woke world is so pathetic in their attempts to literally invent grievances and victims where there clearly aren't any.
