That is up for debate. When Covid was still a big question mark early on, people were more cautious and had little choice but to at least give an ear to the government experts who were paid to find and give good info. After a few months, all that began to unravel. Trust was largely lost or tainted. How else could Trump have had any chance in 2020, much less come back and win in 2024? If the pandemic had been handled well by the gov. experts, we would have a different Pres. by now.
