So true! We're so fortunate to have someone who has such high standards. Just think, he has been convicted, incited, if not led January 6th, wants to increase world peace by taking over the Panama Canal, Greenland and Canada, reduce the viability of social security and Medicare, back away from a key facet of his deportation promise, etc. Thank Goodness the American people realize all this and voted for him anyway. Even more important is that we got a guy who represents our values. We also put America first.
Let's just hope he lives up to our expectations.

Despite all your sarcasm, Trump was a very good President his first term. You know this. And he's usually on point for what is best for the average American.
I'll put up with his noise right now and I'll wait and see how things go.
You libs and TDS need to chill, you'll all likely be much better off under his leadership.

I believe Trump's first term was somewhat of a mixed bag, but I don't think any reasonable conservative (or moderate for that matter) can dispute that it was far better than the liberal nuttiness and incompetence of the last four years.

"And he's usually on point for what's best for the average American."

Sorry about that, I forgot that many of his followers have similar ethical, moral and value standards, although some are like any average American, in that they lack an articulate rationale for why they voted at all. At least you cared enough to do some research and I respect you for that.
Then there is the issue of neither candidate being representative of the type of leader we need at this time.
"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

Not true. Trump had tremendous deficit spending during his first term and he failed to communicate effectively to the public about covid. Trump was better than Biden, but that does not say much for him.

I don't disagree with your opinion; however, based on your past comments, we differ on your definition of moderate. I tend to go with the dictionary definition. Having been a wannabe John Bircher and past Libertarian, plus extensive research into political belief systems. I'm pretty sure of where I am on the spectrum; however, I hope that doesn't mean that I have a closed mind on the matter.

Additionally, I have agreed with you on some of your past comments, and partially agreed on a few others. Having watched live TV all day and night on January 6th, and researching it, including the videos and books on both sides, and continuing to do so, I believe I have a fairly good understanding of Trump and his history.

Agreed he did not do Covid great. But he absolutely couldn't have changed the country's reaction. The establishment was intent on shutting us down.

Can you name anyone who did not toe the line who communicated effectively about Covid in 2020?

Never watch it, and probably for some of the same reasons you don't. I admit that I don't watch as much Fox as I used to, especially since all the documentary evidence was released in the Dominion case.

However, thanks for going easy on me this time. I do believe that a lot of TDSers need to back off and give his administration time to sort some things out. Trump has "revised" his stances on situations and even initial decisions based on evidence and other times just because he wanted to. These include during his first term, so let's give him a chance. Sure, I'll let off some steam, but today's rant is hopefully the most critical until and unless his actual actions run counter to his promises. (But I make no promises:-)

Don't disagree with you.
I am with you on the deficit!
However, IMO, the fault lies about as equally with the American citizen, including you and me.
Too many of us lack the political will to make sacrifices necessary to address this and similar issues. There is no easy, cushy way to resolve it and we refuse to insist that it be done. Factual reality is we will pay for our failures to do so, and dearly!

Since you seem to be obsessed with the Dominion case, how do you think about the fascist media that told you:
- Juicy Smalls was attacked by Trump supporters
- Covington kids attacked an Indian (won multiple law suits)
- Trump praised the Klan in Charlottesville
- Trump banned Muslims
- Florida made it illegal to say gay
- Michael Brown said "hands up, don't shoot"

Do you still listen to these Kremlin plans that intentionally spready disinformation to divide?

We might disagree on moderate, though I suspect we are a lot closer in our opinions on that than you believe.

My point is, Biden was so extreme in so many ways he turned off moderates. Hell, even liberals were turned off by some of his ridiculously woke policies.

Oh Mr B, I am not obsessed with the Dominion case, but quite surprised at your assumption made so quickly. The documentation, including the emails from my former Fox favorites speak for themselves, and loudly. The fact that the ratings quickly rebounded appears to be an indication that many of us are more interested in listening to what we want to hear more than the truth. One of the unfortunate aspects about how we form our core beliefs and how they code and triage incoming information.
