Apparently Trump has got what he wanted in regards to Greenland.
Without any military issues.
Stock market seems happy about it.....at least for today.
the neverTrumpers are the Wile E. Coyotes of the political world. So predictably, often spectacularly wrong.
Well it looks like the drama queens can sleep easy tonight. Thanks to their very public wailing, Trump has backed off the invasion plans, so the US won't be bombing the poor people of Greenland. Thank you TDSers, you saved the planet once again.
Now, one restful nigh for you, well deserved. And tomorrow, you can find something else to beech and moan about.
{slow clap}
I am sure he and his Merry Gang of MAGA will give us and the world something else to head off and insult some Nation.
Maybe he can threaten some Island nation Barton wants?
What Nationality will get picked for deportation today on the Stephen Miller wheel of deplorables,as Dean Martin songs in the background?
Maybe trash the "special relationship" with England over some golf course he wants?
Ah, the day is young, we can threaten and insult so many in one day. After all Canada doesn't exist without us. Gotta be proud...
Every American president in the modern era has made a run at Greenland. Turns out, Trump succeeded where others have failed. Obvious conclusion to most rational people is the it took a bit of *******ry to get the job done done.
Just admit it - you would rather accomplish nothing than ruffle feathers to accomplish a lot.
Please explain what he got that we didn't already have or turned down in the past? Seriously, what is new? What is the concession by Denmark? We could do what we wanted there for defense.
Trump did an about face and backed down after creating a disaster for being able to defend Greenland?
Second, when will it be signed? Or, is it like the manufacturing, all verbal.
"Olesen, the Danish analyst, said he expected the current, long-standing defense agreement between the United States, Denmark and Greenland to be the starting point for negotiations.
"This could indeed end in something that will be an update of the defense agreement, perhaps a little bit more than that will be needed. Perhaps we will see some negotiations about rare earth metals. Perhaps we will see some sort of negotiation about limiting Chinese and Russian influence agreements, something like that. But that in negotiation, for the first time in a long while, a negotiated settlement does seem to be within reach," Olesen said."
Please what have we won? We are updating an existing agreement? They can invest in rare earth minerals? We can do the now. It is all smoke. The NATO guy kicked his butt and Trump doesn't realize it.
