On the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolution, the Democrat Party represents pretty much the opposite of everything this country was built in. They really are hollow:

Illegals aliens do not have full due process rights. They do not deserve them and as a practical matter, it is impossible to provide it. Those who want this for the 10-20 million illegals in the US are probably completely ignorant of the realities of the situation and that's the most generous conclusion one can draw. The alternative is far more evil: they hate America and want to see its destruction. They are enemies of this country and traitors.

Here is a somewhat detailed explanation:

semantics point (alluded to in the article) re your comment in bold.

EVERYONE under the jurisdiction of US courts has full due process rights, except for aliens on matters of immigration.

If an alien, legal or not, is arrested for (insert crime here), he/she will get the same constitutional protections an Amcit does. The operative concept is....our Constitution presumes that rights extends to all human beings, but we can only enforce that where our courts have jurisdiction. (that's a test question on the consular commission exam....)

Your statement in bold is correct when it comes to matters of visitors visas and immigrant visas and Green Cards. Those judgements are executive branch functions, which is why there are "immigration judges" in the DOJ who adjudicate immigration matters (as opposed to US District courts in the Judiciary). Many of the determinations on non-immigrant visas and even refugee status are not reviewable. No applicant in a US Embassy abroad has any rights of appeal whatsoever should their visa request be denied. Typically, their own recourse would be for an employer or family member to make supplication to relevant Congressional representation.

All that said, most countries would simply deport an illegal alien, rather than spend the money on a prosecution or on incarceration. That presumes, of course, that your border security is sufficient to stop an illegal re-entry.

That's pretty much an annual thing for China, you know.

Spring Break for their military:

1. See if their boats all still float

2. Take out the ones that do and test the guns

3. Mock up some new model of a super-aircraft or missile, but don't let media get a close look.

4. Spend some days in the sun playing 'People's Republic Army/Navy/Whatever'

5. Head back to port, arrest some noisy citizens and an American if they can, and call it for the exercise.

I'm not Catholic but since so many in Texas are, I 100% agree with you. And it would be a slap in the face to the EU, George Soros and Open Society - who I assume are attempting to paying off as many of the College of Cardinals as they can right now

Pope Francis is generally considered a progressive or liberal figure within the Catholic Church, particularly for his emphasis on social justice, inclusion, and climate change. He has also been praised for his outreach to LGBTQ+ individuals and his criticism of capitalism.

Yeah…he's directly in defiance of church doctrine on multiple issues. I'm sure the "everyone really goes to heaven" church crowd loves the guy. The "I go to church on Easter and Christmas" set are probably huge fans of

Hope his successor is more like John Paul II.

I love him as a Church leader and I think he has a pure heart, but I disagree with a lot of his opinions/stances (as most Catholics do) He was a major pacifist

For example, his support of mass immigration is directly harmful to Christianity in Europe. Islam is extremely invasive

They won't get it

But they might get a moderate Pope

[Pope Francis has appointed 110 cardinal electors as of December 2024, with 140 cardinals in total eligible to vote in a conclave, according to EWTN Vatican. This includes 21 cardinals created on December 7th, 2024, according to Reuters.]

I didn't say or imply anything about his predecessor. I didn't say anything about church doctrine.

I did say that Francis seemed to have priorities that included the poor and outcasts. I hold the view that many conservative Christians do not share those priorities. As evidence I would cite this forum with its unending demonization of immigrants and LGBTQ people.

BS. First, "legal immigration" includes asylum and residency while awaiting the results of deportation heaings. Second, "legal immigration" includes birthright citizenship. Third, demonization occurs when you impugn the motives of a group of people who seek a better life for their families and themselves whether they do it legally or not based on a small fraction who intend harm. You can be compassionate and still be strict, somnething this group is not good at.

Also note you only addressed half the equation.

Birthright citizenship is currently being challenged. We have been too frivolous with "asylum and residency" due to the Biden, 'take everyone at all costs' thinking. It's the left's woke brainwashing by the folks manipulating Biden, the One World Order of Soros and Open Society. That One World Order means no borders, no national currency, everything manipulated by one group. You can currently see how that failed miserably in Europe with the EU. We DO NOT want what happened to Europe to happen here.
