Good post. There is a time and place for everything and simply having the right to do something doesn't mean it's always appropriate to exercise that right no matter what. And this isn't about "choosing a different church" if you don't agree with what is being preached. This is about a traditional event at the national cathedral that ought to be about unity and encouraging the new administration to make sure God is at the forefront of everything they do, and not about condescending lectures on how to treat people that are by definition criminals. And as others have noted, anyone in the LGBTQ community that is "afraid" of Trump feels that way strictly due to leftist propaganda as we have 4 years of proof from his first term that he isn't at all out to persecute them. You can't make the case that they're powerless.

If you're trying to grant powers to them, you're engaging in promoting sin.

Any sexual activity outside marriage between a man and woman is an abomination to God. It's a sin, it's adultery. If there's any part of you that says it's ok, you're going against God. Period. Not only that, he nominated a gay dude who just recently went through committee confirmation hearings.
And when looking for a Secretary of State, I understand it was down to Marco Rubio, and another guy who is gay too. DT came close to having two gay men in his administration.

At the end of the day, the only thing that is stripped away from man due to sin is eternal life with Christ. But only if one has the inability to confess it and repent of it. Ask forgiveness for it. And accept Christ in as his or her personal savior.

Does that mean sin will leave that person completely? No. We will always sin. But we do the best we can.

In addition to gays, every straight man on here who has lusted after someone who wasn't his wife is guilty of sin. And we know that includes 99.99% of the men on here who have committed adultery in their heart. They're no better than the "homo" in that regard.

It's human nature though to leave that lumber in your eye while trying to remove the splinter from someone else's. A lot of people want to believe their own sins are not as bad as those of others. 'Well, at least I'm not ___.'

That's not how it works though.

All have sinned. So it's best to focus on yourself, rather than worrying about the sins of others. God will take care of that based on how we deal with our own sins in our lives.
