kinda funny to watch Trump toss the hot potato into the lap of the judiciary. If they don't release the grand jury testimony, they'll become a part of the conspiracy.

I don't get that. Seems to me that you take evidence to the grand jury. That's available, now. Getting a federal judge involved is only a delay tactic, IMO.

the evidence was already taken to the grand jury. and now, it is under seal. Requires a court order to release. Regardless of the merits/demerits of release, the fact that the judiciary has to approve it does "throw the issue into the lap" of the courts. And if they don't, odds are it will be a Democrat appointed judge who makes the ruling (ergo making the ruling partisan). And if it is a GOP appointed judge who makes the ruling not to release, then it is just more deep state resistance to what the public elected Trump to do.

Not making a call on any of that. Just noting the dynamic. Very good play by Trump. To the extent that the ploy is stalling for time, that helps the issue fade and allows the RussiaGate narrative to hog the stage. (which is what Trump is trying to do).

Then Trump will lose a lot of support from his base and forfeit the midterms.

Nope.

the way I see it, if there was anything that even slightly related to a Republican in there, the news starved liberal Legacy Media would been all over it in the four years they had it. Since the Republicans have not released it, possibly there is nothing the other way

Obama and Biden had all that info. If it was kryptonite for Trump, they'd have dumped it. Instead, they chose other quite outlandish things to prosecute him for.

Yet even Biden did not see fit to produce this 'evidence' against Trump during the 2024 election.

Maybe, just maybe because it's a felony?

The only reasons why R and D leadership is handling this issue this way:

(1) The names of the perps are a nuclear bomb that would take out the leadership of both parties.

(2) Both parties are owned by a third entity whose interests would be materially harmed by disclosure.

(3) 1+2.

4) or most likely, the donor class will be severely harmed by what's in the files.

Despite her felony convictions Maxwell magically got sent to a minimum security facility….from which she has been serving relatively easy time.

I have no doubt she got such a facility in exchange for keeping her mouth shut.

Strongly doubt Maxwell will chance getting transferred to a maximum security facility; or worse getting suicided , by squealing client names now.

That is what I thought originally. But this is no longer about Epstein or his victims. It is about protecting the reputation of Israel, the Mossad, and AIPAC. If she publically says what she is told to say, she will get her reward.

He's on the list. All you guys who are trial lawyers read this the same way. The opposition hides their bad documents until you pry them out of their cold dead fingers. Stupid strategy because it isolates and emphasizes the badness of the documents and signals that the opposition can't stand the thought of them being exposed, but it happened dozens of times over a 40 year career.

None of this **** is making the light of day because Donald John Trump's name is at the top of the Epstein list. Hell, he probably had a frequent flier account.

He and Epstein were pals for years. Trump even boasted in admiration about how Epstein loved young girls. Of course Trump's name is on the list (if there still is a list).

If the client list exclusively implicates Trump and Republicans…….why didn't the Biden administration release the information ?

They had years to do so, yet did nothing .

Really believe Joe Biden wanted to protect Trump ?

No, but Biden would protect Ds. If there is a list I doubt it is exclusive to the Rs - cuts both ways. Trump and his allies made such a big deal about it, they need to release what they have.

Then you should be just as critical of Biden's coverup.

I am if there is a Biden coverup. You know, this all got started during the first Trump administration. Personally, I think it is more conspiracy theory than real. Most objective reporting says there is no client list going back to the beginning. Cash Patel, Bogino, Laura Ingram, Pam Bondi, Trump, et al hyped this up. They've exposed themselves to having to admit the truth. That said, if the Justice Department knows who participated in activities with minors, they need to disclose it and/or bring charges (if limitations haven't already run). Prince Andrew for instance, they may be reluctant to disclose what they have on him for obvious reasons, but that doesn't excuse nondisclosure in my opinion. Let the chips fall.

Biden had years to let the chips fall where they may.

And did nothing.

However that doesn't seem to impact you as much.

You're right. Biden should have.

It was a keystone of the Trump campaign and a key MAGA conspiracy theory. Trump said he would, but now he's giving inconsistent and evasive reasons not to.

Why doesn't it bother you that he won't release everything and let the chips fall?

Obviously you post crap without bothering to read the thread involved. ( 'cinque' was rarely so sloppy )

As I have commented numerous times how Trump needs to follow through with his promises, made before and after the 2024 election….to publish the Epstein files.

He's totally in the files. Only question is how bad is it?

Thing is, Epstein didn't just pimp out minors, but adults too. If the woman who told the FBI to look into Trump can be believed, Epstein told Trump "she's not here for you," implying another girl had been there for Trump. Maybe she was an adult? I could believe that Trump isn't a pedophile, but banged some adult tail that Epstein procured.

People have had the tar and feathers ready for 10 years now, for Trump. If he had sex with anyone associated with Epstein, their age won't matter much. The GOP will lose big on this little Renaissance they've had.

Any idea when you'll be potty trained?

You and whiterock LOL! Adults are trying to figure out who is a pedophile and who is not, and you are trying to demean anyone who dares question dear leader. The comparisons to Stalin and Hitler keep slowly becoming more fitting.

Question: Say he is a pedophile, will you still vote for his 3rd term? Will the end justify the means, still? It's ok to elect a pedophile, because his policy is so dang good for America?

He correctly gauged that MAGA started up all these years ago for one reason. Draining the swamp. A once in a lifetime opportunity to put a guy in office that hates government, doesn't need to take bribes to get rich, and was never a career politician.

If it turns out Trump is swampier than the average politician, MAGA will absolutely turn on Trump. They are in their own way much more principled than the more educated Trump lovers here, who try to justify every little thing Trump does, and long ago lost any sense of intellectual honesty.

I'd have no problem with it whatsoever as long as it was good information. IMO it's a good tradeoff. Let Bill Gates and those liberal pedophiles go to jail. If there is a conservative or two on there, send him/her to prison also.

However a 5 year reduction in her prison sentence would be in order IF her information resulted in some convictions.

This is from a NY Post article Jan 2022

Ghislaine Maxwell's brother says she won't rat out other people for lighter sentence

Ghislaine Maxwell is a convicted sex offender and disgraced British socialite - but she's no rat, her brother tells The Sunday Times of London.

"Prosecution confirmed no plea bargain offers were made or received" before the trial, Ian Maxwell said. "I expect that position to be maintained."

Judge shoots down Prince Andrew request to delay discovery in civil suit Maxwell, in other words, will not trade names for the prospect of a lighter sentence.

Her refusal to cooperate with prosecutors could come as a relief to alleged co-conspirators, including four women employed by Maxwell and partner in crime Jeffery Epstein, and to others linked to the tawdry couple, such as Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and Donald Trump, the report states.

Maxwell, 60, was "understandably subdued" by her conviction but "strong in spirit," the brother said.

She faces up to 65 years in jail after being convicted this week of trafficking underaged girls as young as 14. Maxwell was described by prosecutors as a "sophisticated predator" who committed "one of the worst crimes imaginable."

(Left to right) Isabel, Christine, Kevin, and Ian Maxwell are pictured leaving the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse on December 20, 2021 in New York. Ghislaine Maxwell's siblings Isabel, Christine, Kevin and Ian, who claims the formal socialite remains "strong in spirit" following her sex trafficking conviction. Epstein, 66, died in prison in 2019, a victim of suicide authorities say, while awaiting trial for child sex charges.

Ghislaine "is not now, nor has ever been, a suicide risk," her brother said. "She knows there are many people, including her family of course, who love and support her and who believe in her innocence."

Isabel Maxwell, Ghislaine's sister, is seen during the British socialite's trial in Manhattan on Dec. 20, 2021. Isabel Maxwell is seen during the British socialite's trial in Manhattan on Dec. 20, 2021. Maxwell's legal ordeal is far from over.

"She will be appealing her conviction. She is a fighter and a survivor," Ian Maxwell sister.

The convicted madam also faces perjury charges following evidence she gave in the 2016 civil lawsuit filed by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who has claimed she was trafficked to Prince Andrew by Epstein and Maxwell.

Ghislaine Maxwell Ghislaine Maxwell faces a 65-year prison sentence after being convicted on five of six counts. Ghislaine Mawell's siblings Isabel Maxwell (sister), Kevin Maxwell and Ian Maxwell (brothers) exit the Federal Court Building in New York. Ian Maxwell insists Ghislaine has no suicidal thoughts after her conviction. Maxwell spent more than 500 days in a Brooklyn detention center, much of it in solitary confinement, and could remain there another six months awaiting a sentencing hearing, the report states.
