Yes, in general, I have no problem with adult men and adult women having sex with each other. Pretty sure that's how most of us got here. If it is violent / forced / coercive, we have this concept called rape that rightly makes it criminal.

If Epstein and his buddies are having sex with adult women in exchange for paying for their college tuition or otherwise keeping them in the role as sugar daddy, the authorities can certainly examine whether that is prostitution. I don't view prostitution (the oldest profession) as even remotely on par with pedophilia (having sex with prepubescent children) or with rape, but it is illegal in most places. Interestingly enough, the authorities haven't charged anyone besides Epstein with that either. I suppose they might, but they've sure had a long time to do it. And, frankly, I don't find Bill Gates paying some Russian escorts to be all that exciting or scandalous. Just makes him look dumb and immoral, but the word is full of that sort of thing.

What you fail to acknowledge is that even adults can be trafficked. There can be lots of reasons. So just because they are adult females does not mean it was consensual.

You also fail to recognize that it doesn't have to be just young children. IF they were having sex with 17 year olds, 14 year olds, etc. that is still wrong/illegal.

I didn't fail to acknowledge either. Everyone knows that sex with anyone under 18 is a crime. I've just said that there's no good evidence at this point that anyone besides Epstein did that (much less that thousands of kids were abused, or all the other histrionic nonsense people are throwing around as assumed fact). Maybe one of these other guys did have sexual contact with someone under 18, but a lot of prosecutors have looked at a lot of info for a very long time and never gotten there.

Then ... what is trafficking? What do you mean by trafficking? I mean specifically, not as a magic word. Because it seems like certain prosecutors (and lots of random people on the internet) are now mindlessly using it as a substitute for anything we would have in the past called prostitution. See, eg, P Diddy gets charged with this sprawling trafficking ring and only gets actually convicted of 2 counts of transportation for prostitution. So who here trafficked who? And how? And what does that actually mean? It's got to mean something more than adult women being paid for sex or put on a private jet to fly to fancy locales where they get paid to have sex, right? Or, if it just means that, why on earth is this thing such a massive public moral panic?

Trafficking can be many different things. It can be adult women taken from one place to another and forced to be sex workers the threats, force, intimidation, drugs, etc.

For minors it can be sort of similar. Like a parent that trades their teen daughter for drugs. IE- sleep with her and give me free drugs. Which yes happens.
