Hope this sets a new standard for US trade with the rest of Europe, Canada, Mexico China and the rest of the world.

Our people deserve it.

One trade deal in four months? Out of 195 countries. At this rate, he should have all the trade deals done by 2040. The wheels of government are now sitting on blocks.

So, you apparently think the trade negotiations are all happening one at a time? Come on - you're smarter than that.
just going by what dear furor said that he had 200 in process. Of course I know better. Just pointing out what a BS artist and pathological liar.

And why JR obsesses so much on penguins is just ... Walz-level odd.
Like him or not......I have no doubt JR is a legitimate 'big shot'.

Certainly a better business man; bigger risk taker than I am.

not a big shot. don't even know what that is. Just a dude who has worked his ass off and taken risks.

I took calculated ...relatively small risks. As I repeatedly saw associates of mine go broke.

And not one of them ever expected that to happen.

So when I had my 'enough'.......pulled in my horns....thanked God for my good fortune and called it a day.

You played harder and smarter.......well done.

UK PM is apparently disputing these numbers, and says the details still need to be hammered out. This info apparently from the Trump admin.

When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Let's see what the written agreement says before we count our chickens.

Well, except for the fact that Trump is still tariffing our domestic auto manufacturers while apparently removing most of the tariffs from UK automobiles. That ain't good.

What's stupid is thinking anyone can intelligently pass a profanity laced extremely pre-mature judgment like that on a complex process that is dealing with complicated issues that have been 4 decades plus in the making. Ranting and raving a few weeks into this because everything hasn't been finalized and already coming up roses is ridiculous.

I give him credit for finally getting one done that is the lowest of low hanging fruit, but it got done. Should be noted that we had a trade surplus with them and now raised it to 10%. They represent 1% of our trade. Just 199 more to go. Wonder where the Penguins fit in all this?

"…finally getting one done…"(??). Do you have any semblance of an idea of how complex new trade deal negotiations are and can be - even with an ally?? This isn't like negotiating the price of a used car. I'd say it got done pretty fast and there are a lot more on deck that are about to materialize as well. Enjoy watching your fervent desire for all of it to fail because of your TDS get crushed in the coming days and weeks.

Don't be such a drama queen. It is a tall order for us to negotiate all the other deals before the 90 days are up. You are saying so yourself. You are agreeing with the post you're trying to insult.

So it's premature to judge Trump's ever evolving tariffs as bad. It's perfectly reasonable and not premature to believe that Trump has ushered in the golden age of America as you do.

Got it. Double standard much?

I didn't say anything about "the golden age". Yes, I believe we finally have a POTUS that is actually taking bold and decisive actions to correct major problems that have festered for decades, but I also realize it hasn't happened yet and it's going to take time with a willingness to endure some bumps along the road. Again, you're the one making highly premature pronouncements about hopeless failure.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to call bull**** on this one. You have a number of post on this board talking about how Trump's tariffs plan is working. You know it and I know it. So apparently it's OK for you to judge it as a success, but premature for me to judge it as a failure.

Little Johnny....I'd be willing to bet I have personally negotiated very complex deals than you ever have. I know how it works. Firstly, do you not understand I gave fat boy a compliment, but put it into context . You and your ild need to really get rid of the TDS term as it makes you sound stupid. I don't wish him failure. To the contrary , I have a lot riding on success...alot more than you do. I just can't believe a word he say, like "we have 200 deals in process with 200 countries. Well,, little J,.there aren't 200 countries on the planet. Talk about talking out his arse. Just glad he is going to put the hammer down on the penguins. 1 month. One deal. 194 more countries to go. A whole lot of uncertainty and continual moving of the goal posts.

He should have made his first deals with Canada and Mexico, our #1 and #2 trading partners. It almost seems like Trump wants them to buy somewhere else. Donald Trump should be careful what he wishes for. It just might come true.

.... Why do you zealots always project? The post ypu quoted is saying it took a while to get the easiest one done, which means getting all done will take a long time. Your post fully agrees, saying it got done really fast, some others soon, but implies not all can happen so fast and nobody should expect them to.

Let's be clear there is no "deal" yet. Maybe a framework at best. Trumps has been know to lie , overstate, exaggerate daily. If there is no deal yet with England, there certainly is no "deal" with Ghina.
