I went because I feel sick to my stomach over my country under Trump.

When I left I felt great, because I talked to citizens who have a variety of reasons to protest and feel hope. So many people, so many Texas towns.

Renewed me

Sincerely glad you are renewed.

As i also feel a semblance of hope.

The border is secure, existing federal immigration laws are being enforced, and thousands of horrible murderers, rapists, gang bangers and child traffickers are being arrested.

Military enlistments are up, morale is high and Trump has managed to keep the Ukrainian war from going nuclear.

Assaults against Christian Churches are down, gasoline prices are down and lawfare against conservatives has been terminated.

It is popular again to fly our flag, wear the hat of your choice, buy the car and kitchen range of your choice.

Peace Be With You

But it is good to know that TRUMP is keeping those nasty Ukrainians from launching nukes. Biden clearly wasn't up to the task.

My opinion, someone who doesn't break the law, has been here over a decade
and contributes to society should have a pathway to become a citizen. Their life is here.
Those that have flooded the border during the Biden fiasco need to go.

The United States border however needs to be airtight.

The United States needs to regulate who crosses our borders, not the Mexican cartels.

Let's keep it in Today's terms. 1. Mary could not "freely" cross the border and give birth to baby Jesus, and 2. If Jesus returned today, but not into the USA, he could come with a $5M Trump coin or be banned from entering if from a number of countries.

The commies have always relied upon unrest, violence, fear and hopelessness to gain & retain control.
They have never been successful in conquering a stable & prosperous nation.
This is why Obama, Biden and all the people supporting them have been trying to destroy our economy, incite violence, defund the police, attack Christians, invite foreign invaders across our open borders, create more global conflicts & instability, embolden our enemies, weaken our allies, create climate hysteria....

The leftists want to create as much fear & anguish as possible, so that their leader can take over. Lenin, Hitler, Mao, Castro.... they always use destabilizing & hopelessness to create the opportunity for a violent takeover.

Thankfully we have still have enough Christians with guns, to thwart their efforts.... so far. This is why Obama & Biden have embraced the LGBT movement. Many of them are radical, mentally unstable and violent enough to be useful fodder against the Christians. The same with Antifa. There is no logical reason to allow Antifa to exist, but Obama & Biden both supported them. The Swamp protected them from Trump during the first term, as did Pelosi and the other traitors in congress who tried to keep Trump busy with false impeachment attacks & investigations.

Everything the dems have been doing for the past 40+ years has been a long play to slowly erode & destroy all the institutions that keep America stable & prosperous.

The dems have welcomed the cancer that is the extremist left.... and now the dems themselves have become the cancer. It's time to surgically remove the tumors. Deportation is the first surgery.

We can't keep it in todays terms because it was nothing like todays situation. I don't think the president of Mexico ordered the deaths of all boys below the age of 2. If she did there would be many nations allowing the refugees in. I would hope.

Jesus wasn't an illegal immigrant in any way whatsoever. There was no national border banning entry. There was no law denying entry. His home and the place he was going were both controlled by the same government.

Jesus always followed the law, even to the point of paying taxes. If Jesus were born today and it was illegal to take up residence in an adjoining nation, Jesus would not take up residence in that nation, and Jesus would never intentionally break any law.

Okay, let's keep it in today's terms. Today, Joseph and Mary would definitely qualify for REAL refugee status because their government was trying to murder their son. They weren't claiming fake asylum to exploit the economic advantages of another country. And they sought asylum in a neighboring country rather than travel across five borders to their choice destination. And when the danger in their home country passed, they returned back to their country. They did things the way they're supposed to be done.

And I highly doubt if Mary and Joseph would have stayed in Egypt, that Jesus would have grown up an ingrate, demanding handouts and protesting the country that took them in, while throwing molotov cocktails at Egyptian police and waving the Israeli flag.

I'm more frustrated that we've not solved this problem for 25 years. There is no will to have legal immigration, a guess worker program and a path to citizenship for people who've been here 30 years.

In my time in Texas, it's always been "accepted" that a significant part of the workforce and economy was here illegally. And we benefited from it. I don't like the anger towards these guys. In many cases, I've preferred migrants in job sights over union electricians.

I don't and never will paint all democrats as nuts. I'm the only one of my siblings that isn't a 100% democrat, and they certainly aren't nuts. But, when even a benign president like Bush who seriously tried to get along with everybody was called a Hitler, even by elected representatives, and not just the flock, that is bad.

It's good to see Bush, Clinton and Obama being friendly with each other. They should be. Still feel like we've lost out last sincerely decent president when Carter died last year. Bad president, but decent human being.

A. All I can tell you is that we are currently paying 30 cents a gallon less than in June of 2024.. am acutely aware of the prices as my F 150 uses a lot of fuel.

B. Probably it would have more accurate to state Biden's incredible blunders / miscalculations with 200,000 Russian troops along the Ukrainian border contributed to this horrible war. Easily the biggest US strategic blunder since the Korean War.

As long as he doesn't cross the border.

No, Jesus was not an "illegal immigrant" in the modern sense.
While his family did flee to Egypt to escape King Herod's decree, the concept of "illegal immigration" as it exists today didn't apply in the Roman Empire during Jesus' time. The Roman Empire controlled both Judea (where Jesus was born) and Egypt, and there were no established border controls or immigration laws in the same way that modern nations do.

Let's keep it in Today's terms. 1. Mary could not "freely" cross the border and give birth to baby Jesus, and 2. If Jesus returned today, but not into the USA, he could come with a $5M Trump coin or be banned from entering if from a number of countries.
Do you really think you make a point by comparing immigration polices from 2025 years ago to today's?

Last we heard, we are not expecting another Christ child to be born and even if it were on the horizon, why would God pick him to be born in the United States?

Never figured you for a "no borders" proponent.

Reagan tried that sort of amnesty, and it ended up a disaster. I could of course understand why someone on the left of the spectrum would want that, as it will increase the voting base, but it would be foolish for Republicans to agree to any sort of amnesty, IMO.

I'm comparing immigration today to Jesus' return. If Jesus were to return outside of the US, (let's say to a non western/first world country) would he be allowed into the US?

First, non citizens can't vote. 2nd, You don't know how people will vote. Last election saw 50% Hispanic and 40% women vote to Trump.

It's not amnesty. It's dealt cards. It's the hand we all hold. What are we gonna do with it?
