If he is smart, go to NO where he is invited. Going to Chicago is going to cause a **** storm, Constitutionally, politically and physically. Courts said no, go to SCOTUS and get a ruling.

Agreed

Besides overall New Orleans might even be a bigger **** hole than Chicago .

Certainly would consider Chicago the better tourist destination.

But you can get robbed, knifed or shot either place.

It is not about the responses, it is about what is the law. Public opinion polls do not run how things operate. It is a representative Democracy not a direct Democracy. I guess under Trump the Feds taking over more is now a good thing? What happened to Government overreach. The Government can't do anything right. We have to cut spending, now 1M a day to occupy DC with National Guard is a good thing, a "do-er" thing.

Which he did without Congressional approval. In 2014, Obama initiated airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria without seeking new congressional approval, instead relying on the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) passed after 9/11.

Less crime is definitely a good thing. Obviously. The greet expense is not, also obviously. I would expect what is happening in DC is temporary and soon it will be turned over to a reformed local police dept that will be given the tools & support to go their jobs. It will also destroy the local politicians who want more crime or don't care. Spending a little now is a wise investment if it brings positive results long term.

You are correct, though, ideally this would be a local issue only. That would presume local leaders would do their jobs and put the people first. The corruption still needs to be rooted out at all levels of govt.

It's silly to suggest that enemy combatants are entitled to due process. In a wartime situation, and for all practical purposes the US has been at war with the drug cartel's & terrorists for decades, you destroy the enemy. You don't arrest them, bring them to trial, and allow a bunch of America-hating Leftist lawyers and judges legitimize them and pretend their causes are just. The cartel's are greedy criminals of the worst kind and the terrorists are barbaric murderers of the worst kind. They must be destroyed without remorse.

This is not complicated. The Marxists try to complicate everything with doublespeak and pathetic, dishonest arguments.
