No I was not and thanks. Hopefully we have better candidates coming through the system this time around that we can discuss.
I am convinced 50% of the disagreements reasonable people have is due to disinformation and pure ignorance.
Realize your more sympathetic to the left, but the left-wing media stopped hiding the ball in 2016 and is just openly become an advocacy organization as we continue to see; hence, so many are disinformed. I have an old LWNJ friend that really does not believe 60 Minutes edited the Kamala Harris interview and it is just a bribe to Trump ... of course when you share the actual transcript and the video you get the "whatever" storm off.
That is a good example, especially how hard it is for someone to change a belief, due to their biases which filters the information. Examples like you presented exist on both sides of the spectrum. It's interesting how the spectrum has changed in the last few decades, as I have pretty much remained a moderate conservative but many on this forum interpret that as leftist. I guess it should be amusing, but it's quite irritating.

The reaction to that is often "both sides." But my next question is okay, give me three commensurate examples. And I do not mean examples of getting it wrong, but I mean pretend journalists willfully doing political activism in such a blatant way.
I can think just off the top of my head:
1. Writing a story about an issue and then retracting it when it realized a Democrat was president
2. Completely ignoring the Hunter laptop story
3. Pretending Joe Biden was sentient and all the videos were "deep fakes"
4. Claiming the 2016 election was stolen by Russian hackers with no evidence
5. Actively editing an interview to make a Democrat candidate look less stupid
That's more than "getting it wrong." That does not even get into the constant double standards with the way things are covered - think about how the Graham Platner rape allegations are covered vs. say the Brett Kavanagh accusations.

We do agree on this one. There are no reasonable Dems that are running. All the decent ones, don't get enough support.
I do agree with JR, this is a US politics issue on both sides.

Again, I'll ask for specifics.
What is a "loony" Republican position?
The "both sides" argument is lazy. I can specifically outline loony positions on the left. Today's right would be about where the Democrat Party was in 2000.

Well, there are many that would say Trumps and MAGA's "Independence Day" was whacky, including the courts.
Many would say Stephen Miller's ICE strategies are extreme. (Not to mention his infatuation with Dean Martin Special re-runs...)
Many would say Hegseth's "Real Man" military from the Tony Robbin'esque meeting of Flag Officers to the Testosterone testing push the bounds of normalcy.
ICE Barbie?
Geez, what a freak show of a Cabinet.
Boebert dry humping her dates in theaters.
Victor Marx, the Demon Hunter in COL.
Madison Cawthorn in FL
John Strand in DC. Underwear model pardoned by Trump for Jan 6th...
It is not a Blue or Red thing, it is an extremist thing.
FLBear5630 said:
Well, the first ones are policies. Trump's tariff policies have been all over the board, extreme and weilded like some mythical sword. That it remains to be seen how harmful or beneficial they are. But, even you have to admit that there has been no consistent manner in which they are being used.
ICE, policies have been extreme. Minneapolis was like something out of a Fallout game. Miller's policies are out there.
Hegseth's "real men" and now T-testing is whacko. It is comic bookish.
Robert Kennedy's policies???? Come on, that is a book in itself.
Those are by the current Administration that are extremist. We can delve into Congress.
As I said, the Dems are just as bad. Theirs tend to be more social oriented.

Well, you are consistent. Consistently a F-ing idiot. You think I care what YOU think??? I am just amazed at how consistently wrong you can be. I mean really, you have to work at it. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. If I am on the same side as you, then I step back and reconsider my position...
Go practice some straight arm saluting or goosestepping, I am sure there is a Fascist somewhere you can follow. Maybe Stephen Miller is speaking somewhere, that will get you real excited...
