I think that you're going to see other Gulf states come to the conclusion that the juice isn't worth the squeeze and do the same thing.

Which gives Israel one of its goals, kicking us out so they can become a regional hegemon.

It remains to be seen if Trump will restart the bombing campaign to try and turn Iran into Libya and what the consequences of that will be. If he does, it may give them the second of their goals.
