He doesn't care about you. All you're good for is to buy more Trump coin. Your retirement, your children's education, your lesbian side chick.

As it relates to you? He starts the day with 12 ****s and ends the day with a dozen ****s.

The difference between us includes that I am not obsessed with Trump.

He never gave me anything, I don't owe him anything. I just don't lie about him the way you do.

You need to step back and gain some perspective.

How do you have it so backwards? It is Trump, who is lying to us. How can you not see it? Do you need to step back and gain a new perspective?

You ostrich for Trump. This is life during wartime. This ain't no party. This ain't no disco. This ain't no fooling around.

I make a salient point, you throw out of context verses from a band cooler than you will ever be.

Cooler than me? Shiiiiiit!

I got three passports, a couple of visas you don't even know my real name!

The only obvious thing here is JR's ignorance and addiction to spite.

point taken. where abroad did you work/live? curious

Canada, China, England (most of the UK actually). Does Hong Kong count on its own or is it part of China?

thanks. Hong Kong is part of China these days, but it counts. Did you live in those spots or business trips? just curious.

Nobody enjoys, what Trump used to call, pointless Middle East wars.

Wow, guess I never realized that wars were to be enjoyed. Who enjoyed WWII? Or Vietnam? Or the American Civil War? Or any other war in human history?

The leaders enjoy wars. The citizens and soldiers die. Can you tell me with a straight face that Trump isn't enjoying this? Have you see his social media regarding the war?

That's one of the many things this old bear guy doesn't get. He thinks anyone critical of this pointless war is enjoying being critical. Some are. Sure, criticizing politicians is a national sport. But many of us are critical because it is our tax dollars going to defense companies, fellow Americans dying, and immense destruction in the Middle East for no real gain.

Business, usually on things like physical audits. I asked about Hong Kong because the locals usually think of Hong Kong as its own thing, the same way people in Manhattan consider themselves apart from the rest of New York. The political situation is a different animal. A little tricky when your company deals with individual people as well as officials.

It's one thing to consider the President in balance and context. It's unwise to only see him as perfect or enemy because of your personal politics.

Rather insulting to not at least get the actual general's ranks at least in the same army. "Patton" looks like he's in a bad red army cosplay. MacArthur is somehow a major general and also an upside down Corporal.

Embarrassing.

He's right about one thing. MacArthur got us too deep into Korea to easily get out and Patton would have done the same in Europe if he had the chance. Both were narcissists of the highest order.

MacArthur and Patton, however, had actual courage and some areas of competence.

The Iran war isn't just the biggest misstep of Trump's presidency so far, it's one of the greatest strategic blunders in modern American history. The worst part is there is no making things better, only worse, and the longer we keep at it the worse it's going to get. There is no chance for 'victory' here, at all. There never was. Best case would be to stop cold turkey, cut our losses, and get the best deal we can to keep the Strait open, but it would take a lot of courage and pragmatism on the part of our leadership to do so. Is it in them? Who knows! Or I guess we could just keep banging our heads against the wall and run out of the rest of the missiles and bombs we've spent trillions on over the decades. What an absolute disaster.

MacArthur had a host of issues, but I think he did ok overall given what he had to work with in Korea.

Patton was absolutely right and we should have kept all of our armored divisions rolling east as Germany collapsed. Patton was a complicated man, and far from perfect, but May-September 1945 was our best chance to stave off the Cold War. Obviously who knows what else might have come after, but we eliminate the Soviet Union and the Iron Curtin and the second half of the 20th century is certainly different.

agreed on Shanghai. Love the Soup Dumplings there. Chilling out on the Bund is usually fun. Years ago when there on business, went to that hotel when Lost in Translation was filmed. Fairly cool. Honestly, whilst I like and or respect most everyone, I had some less than great experiences with the Chinese . Lots of Chinese here in as Expats and tourists. Not terribly well behaved. They are only tolerated around here and the will drop some RMB and will let you know. Very antithetical to Thai culture.
