What has the payoff been?

After Trump bombed Iran in June 2025 he said we "totally obliterated" their nuclear capability and set them back "decades."

What additional objectives have we accomplished after spending $47 billion of taxpayers money?

meh, $47B is chump change. And yes, we accomplished all of Trumps stated goal. You know, regime change, totally obligate their nuke capabilities, decimate their military, lots of drones and missiles left, ..the good news is it only took 2 weeks per Piggy, and he did get the Russia/Ukraine solved in 2 days as he said he would. He's a shoe in for the Nobel Peace Prize, that he campaigned for and didn't get. lol. eff off fat boy

The pentagon always lies and underestimates the cost.

It's probably at least double whatever they tell the public.

If you're looking to cut excessive spending and improve policy outcomes at the same time, the defense budget is your 10x bonus target. Inordinately prone to fraud and waste, economically unproductive, and responsible for far more global instability and backlash than it's worth.

Ben Shapiro just dismantled the "genocide" argument masterfully

https://notthebee.com/takes/ben-shapiro-just-dismantled-the-genocide-argument-masterfully

On the idiotic accusation of genocide leveled at Israel:
Quote:

Is there any doubting that if given the same kind of advantages, Palestine's masters Hamas would not be so measured in their prosecution of the conflict? But leave speculation out of it, and the fact that Israel has sent its troops into dangerous urban combat rather than simply level buildings with civilians inside is all you need to know about these kinds of hyperbolic accusations.

Unfortunately, the antisemites and terrorist apologists won't accept the intelligence and logic of his arguments.

Bigotry is always irrational.

The type of argument that Shapiro's using is an old and easily recognizable one. It's called lying.

What particular facts did he assert that you believe are false?

Does Hamas not use "human shields?" They have a history of doing so according to just about everyone who has looked at it.

https://stratcomcoe.org/cuploads/pfiles/hamas_human_shields.pdf

Does genocide not actually have a definition?

You don't have to think everything the IDF does is great to see that if they wanted to carry out a genocide in Gaza they would have used very different tactics. You can be an antisemitic Nazi and still concede that war and genocide are not the same thing.

Who are you calling an antisemitic Nazi?

No one. It is an example of how even someone who was an antisemitic Nazi might still be able to understand that not all war is genocide.

Well, the reason I use the term is precisely that it has been carefully defined, and the same authorities that defined it have documented it in the case of Gaza.

Shapiro's lie is that the IDF doesn't routinely level buildings with civilians inside. No one with any knowledge of their tactics can possibly believe that.

Civilians do die in wars independent of genocide. War, as said by someone who knew, is hell. However, a force committing genocide does not sent text messages, phone calls or voicemails, or drop leaflets, or engage in "roof knocking," in advance of attacks. Additionally, a force as powerful as the IDF would have no problem killing a hell of a lot more people if they were committing genocide.

Sometimes politics rather than clear analysis comes in to play in determining whether something is or is not genocide.

This has been thoroughly addressed, not only by the UN but also by Israeli human rights groups. Such warnings are ineffective when there's no safe place to go, no safe passage to get there, and you're being attacked every step of the way. The main purpose of the warnings wasn't to save lives but rather to help depopulate the cities and move more Palestinians into refugee camps (where the IDF didn't hesitate to bomb them again). Even if some lives were spared, at least temporarily, it doesn't excuse attacks on those who failed to evacuate.

Bottom line, there's a difference between issuing evacuation orders before entering urban combat according to accepted rules of war and issuing evacuation orders before engaging in indiscriminate bombing of civilians. Shapiro would have you believe Israel only does the former, but he knows that isn't true.

Im curious, so what would the IDF need to do then, to avoid your ire. As long as 1 civilian fails to evacuate, not fight back in a war clearly started by a horrendous, terrorist foe?

Fighting the wars they start without my country's involvment using their own money, weapons, and blood.

That's certainly a valid argument. It's one thing to contribute towards defense, but we make enough mistakes ourselves, so when we pay for others' wars, we have actually no control over what happens, and who dies.

But off topic, has nothing to do with what I posted.

Lack of control does not mean you lack responsibility
“Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place.” (The Law, p.6) Frederic Bastiat

That's cute. In all seriousness, though, there are dozens of camps and over a thousand temporary displacement centers around Gaza. Most of them consist of tents and outdoor sleeping areas, which aren't well suited for the legendary Hamas tunnels or other installations.

How so?

If I need to tell you how much you ignore what is in front of you to protect your view, you won't listen anyway.
But I'll give it a try against my better judgement.

"They have tunnels. Are they everywhere in Gaza? Clearly not according to your map."

The makers of the map stated that it is not exhaustive as it is only showing what is verified. The creators admit there is more than what is shown. What is shown is all over a very small area. What you said is similar to someone saying New York isn't fully covered by its subway system because there is "free space" between tunnels.

"They also sometimes instruct people to stay in their homes. I don't see anything there about threats."

You clearly decided to ignore information in the articles linked along with a preponderance of available articles from any brief search stating the same. Characterizing the articles as "Hamas sometimes instructed people to stay in their homes" in no way summarizes what the articles report. Hamas like ISIS in Mosul, wanted civilians around their military installations which were purposely placed in the most densely populated parts of the crowded Gaza Strip, most notably in Gaza City.

Why would Israel want to send Islamic migrants to countries that have/are helping them?

I am asking a serious question and not attacking you. I just don't think I have ever seen anything that explains why they would do that.

Are they trying to get things to be so bad in those countries that the people hate Muslims and support Israel more? Do they think these countries will eventually send the Muslims back? Because what I see happening is those Muslims are slowly taking over with the help of the liberals in those countries. They are making laws to make it illegal to speak badly about Muslims. The Muslims are breeding more than the natives.

So I just don't see what the end game is.
