Some people do change their minds. It's very human, especially people who are honest and have some humility (not a Trump character trait). The proof is in the pudding: do their actions reflect a change of mind? On the issue of abortion, for example, Trump has concrete executive actions that demonstrates a genuine change of heart. I don't know anyone who can deny that the Dobbs decision is directly the result of Trump's judicial appointments.

Talarico, on the other hand, is pandering to Texans weeks before an election that he will likely lose in a landslide. Texans have no reason to vote for him except TDS (or Paxton hatred / phobia) and no reason to believe he genuinely has changed his mind on anything. It's all a bunch of empty words with nothing to back them up.

how many abortions has Trump paid for. I'd bet several.

Pastor Jeffress is correct about Talarico:

You think every Democrat hates America and call me obsessed. Hope over to the English department and take an irony lesson.

Given your last post, you could use lessons yourself, starting in grammar and critical thinking

Not every Democrat hates America but everyone that hates America is a democrat.

Good point.

I think the Dem leaders who daily push hateful lies about the US & our history and the many ordinary Dems who support them are hateful. They advocate a hateful agenda. Their treatment of blacks and Hispanics is racist. The trans agenda is misogynistic. People who advocate for the murder of babies in the womb (& outside, see Clancy groupies and 11 jurors) hate babies. People who celebrate murderers and assassin wannabes are hateful. TDS is hateful. The list goes on.

If you hate people who think differently then you are hateful. If you want them dead, and celebrate their deaths (Brian Thompson, Charlie Kirk, etc) then you are hateful. If you wish assassins had succeeded in killing Trump then you are hateful. If you advocate socialist policies that inevitably enslave the masses then you are hateful.

I hope none of this describes you personally and thus you are not hateful. But it does describe a large number of Dems described by some or all of the above.

So you can vote for the party who's leaders hate America without hating America your self ?

I'm no Trump fan, but this is awfully short on specifics. Tariffs, protectionism and industrial policy have been used by governments of every political stripe, wisely or not. And autarky is something quite different. That means essentially pursuing economic self-sufficiency and isolation from world trade. Trump is certainly protectionist, but that's a long way from autarky.

Economic nationalism is a hallmark of fascist economics. He's even gone so far as engaging in military action (Venezuela), and threatened (Greenland) for nationalist economic goals. Openly flaunts and unilaterally exits international alliances, coerces private companies under the guise of nationalist economic goals, and uses executive authority to assert power over markets. As I said, if his full rhetoric were put in place, it would be very close to the autarky of fascist regimes. Fortunately we still have laws and institutions that prevent that.

It's not just the protectionism or industrial policy, it's the rhetoric and ideology driving it that draws the parallels.

nationalism is a hallmark of every government type. The nazis started as socialists and morphed - like socialists often do, they move to whatever makes the leaders richer and the people less so.

US Nationalism is good and healthy. Not until recently did progressives start hating our country. The globalists got libs and many believing that importing masses of third world cultures is healthy and desirable. That is of course BS. People know it instinctively but the years of programming by the media and political overlords has libs repeating nonsense.

This list has one name that is laughable. Dale Ross, former Mayor of Georgetown, who campaigned as a staunch conservative. Then when elected he moved with the city council to pass a twenty year solar contract and 25 year wind contract for our power supply while purchasing twice the power our demand called for. Indications are Ross and company thought since natural gas was around $9.00 at the time, the city would make a killing when they sold the excess power back into the grid and they would be heroes. Problem was fracking came in soon after revitalizing the Permian Basin and Natural gas prices dropped to less than $2.00 so our city lost over 26 million when we sold our excess power back into the grid. And Dale Ross was on every liberal show with Georgetown going 100% green energy for our electricity needs and had lunch with Al Gore. He was defeated in the next election. So saying he is a conservative supporting Talarico is laughable!

Cornyn had a huge spending advantage over Paxton too. He lost by 30 points. Talarico is such a disaster of a candidate it's not a stretch to think he could win in November by a comparable margin. Probably not, but he has the momentum and that looks to be growing.
