We all fall short, kind of depends on who is drawing the line. I would never vote for Talarico, and as I define things there are no conservatives in the Senate.

Expanding on the Scotsman fallacy, "Well then that's no true Scotsman!" ..... I wouldn't, you wouldn't, but to say someone is not a Christian because of how they vote is a tad harsh.

More to the point, the Talarico team is trying to get Republicans not to vote in the Senate race, as it gives them a net gain if that happens. The argument about the perceived morality of one candidate or the other is nothing more in practical terms than trying to leverage an election.

The adults in the room should focus on the kinds of bills Talarico or Paxton would support if they took office. Neither is going to force someone to accept their religious beliefs, no politician frankly is much of a moral example we should follow.

But we know from history what to expect from a Republican-controlled Senate, and what to expect from a Democrat-controlled Senate. While I have grievances against a lot of Republican Senators, no rational or moral person would put Democrats in charge, or allow that to happen through not voting.
