Election integrity is more important than some procedural tradition like the filibuster. Many find out obsolete and outdated. One could argue that its continuation was never justified. Some have suggested that it will soon disappear anyway, although that is speculation.

Regardless, the senate has failed to do much of anything all year. The Save Act is only the most glaring and important example. I remember a few years ago that Cornyn was touted as being the second most powerful Republican in the senate. Whether true or not, he has not used the considerable influence he has to benefit Texans and America in general. Not did he not do as much to push the Save Act this year, he has publicly stated support for amnesty, which most Texans and Americans oppose, and has been less supportive of the 2A than most Texans. He is a symbol for Texans of the failures of the senate.

Cornyn is a RINO rejected overwhelmingly by primary voters. Since then, he has been petulant and childish, throwing a tantrum for months. He has been proving for years why he needs to go.
