I'd agree with you here. Paxton is not running a smart campaign. Getting caught on camera flying off to wherever he was going with his affair partner was a very Gary Hart move.
Keep in mind that Cruz beat Allred by 9% in 2024.
I still think Paxton will win, but it is going to be margin of error close.
