Of course you do. Thankfully, most Texans disagree, especially those who don't waste time with the Lefty pollsters.

Or maybe he just has the flu like his campaign announced...

Consistent polling has shown the bolded is factually untrue.

Only if you believe the skewed polls that routinely get it wrong. Facts are based on reality, not media propaganda.

Prediction: about a month from now, one group is going to be very quiet, while another is posting a dozen versions of 'told ya!'

Ah yes, the ol' "everything I disagree with is propaganda" approach, a true classic. And with an unsubstantiated declaration of "facts" to shoehorn in an appeal to authority as well.

When every major poll has a candidate slightly ahead or tied for 6+ weeks and its less than a month until election day, it is a good indication that a candidate can, in fact, win (not that they will, but that they can). This is in direct contradiction to your original post I responded to where you, without support once more, said that Talarico is "throwing in the towel" because "he knows he cannot win".

Internals have Low-T down by 3 points. There is a wealth of information about him that is about to drop over the next week or so - which explains why he is canceling events.

If he had the flu, he wouldn't have been in NYC for a bizarre fundraiser when he claimed to have been in the hospital.

Polling is subjective by definition, or did you not know that?

In what way is that relevant to the discussion of Historian's declarative statement for which he has no actual support?

Of course polling is subjective, that's why it's an indicator and has a margin of error. The only poll that matters is in just under 4 weeks.

Look at your post. You claimed polling showed his claim was "factually untrue", but that is not a valid claim, because polls are not facts but subjective measures of emotions.

No. The media outlets are propaganda outlets because they have been lying to us for decades and have been repeatedly caught in those lies. Some of us remember the Russia hoax, the climate hoax, Hunter's laptop lies, lies about Obamacare, covid origins lies, lies about masks, lies about the jab, lies about Biden's mental health, lies about the 2020 election (& every election since), and on and on and on. The Left has quite literally lied about everything.

Your side has a long track record of lies and zero credibility.

My conclusion to explain Talarico's action was only an opinion. I thought it was obvious. But my conclusion about his electoral chances are based on reality: I have lived in Texas most of my life and I've been voting here since the 1980s. I know that the majority of Texans of all backgrounds have no interest in the freak show that is James Talarico. That conclusion is plain common sense.

This brings me back to the point that there will be very quiet people after the election, along with some very loud people insisting everyone praise them for calling it ahead of time.

I'd submit that there are good reasons for believing Talarico will win, and good reasons for believing Paxton will win the election. Talarico had led in most polls for months, yet the demographics in many of them are suspicious in comparison with historical voter demographics.

At the risk of saying the obvious, the Senate seat will come down to which group gets better turnout.

I'm not sure if there are any good reasons for thinking Talarico can win. The polls are often flawed, very subjective, and wrong. It happens every election cycle: the polls over estimate Dem support. Harry Enten on CNN had a segment on this 1-2 weeks ago: if the GOP performs the way they usually do relative to the polls then they will win several key senate races.

My conclusions about Talarico and the Texas race are strictly an opinion based on the obvious realities of Texas and Texas voters. On top of that large numbers of blacks and Hispanics, groups that historically have voted Dem in large numbers, are very unlikely to vote for him. His radical ideas, his transparent lies, and his creepiness will continue to turn them off. Most will either vote for Paxton or stay home.

All the Left has is their propaganda and flawed polls. Both are unreliable.

The only possible way he can win is if large numbers of GOP voters stay home. That seems unlikely too.

Talarico is looking crazier and crazier every day. The dude is a loon. And the idiots who are sitting this out, are nothing more than sanctimonious short-sighted dupes. You vote for the best candidates in the primary, but in the general, you recognize that the POLICY is more important than a candidate you don't like. Paxton may not be great, but he will fight for the values that got him there. Cornyn was fired for being to weak, Paxton knows this and will vote in the direction his constituents want.

"I think there are some folks that would think that if you deny your child's gender identity that that's incredibly harmful. And whether or not we can label it with the term abuse, I mean, it's abusive for sure.

Non voting Repubs will watch a Talarico get elected, and his crazy policy get passed, and then those Repubs will pat themselves on the back while kids are being transed, and kids are being brainwashed, while they're being encouraged that God is trans, and that traditional Christianity is evil, etc.

They'll sit there, having abdicated any responsibility, and praise their self-righteousness, neverminding the evils unleashed on our kids. Total failures as men. Zero respect because they have zero care and the pretend a Paxton would be just as bad as a Talarico - when it's not even close in terms of impact on our communities.

I'll say this gently, but you people are not well. The constant focus on trans issues to the exclusion of all others, and the hate you hold in your heart for obviously decent people is not healthy. Your mental illness is dragging the rest of the country down with you.

Talarico lives a far more Christian life than the adulterous crook Paxton could even dream of (has he ever apologized or offered any mea culpa for his adultery or literally anything else?). You don't recognize it because your faith has been taken advantage of by bad actors who use it to manipulate you into supporting evil grifters, like Ken Paxton and Donald Trump.

I will be as polite as I can here. No person who knows James Talarico's insertion of his political agenda into religion believes he is even a Christian in the nominal sense, let alone a man who follow Christ.

James Talarico serves his god. But James Talarico's god is James Talarico.

Paxton has his own issues, but is far less dangerous to the public than the charlatan Talarico.

Again, you people are hopelessly insane. The entire theme of the Talarico campaign is self sacrifice and service to others, i.e. Christ's main teachings. Normal people are tired of your brand of "Christianity" that exhalts selfish greed and dishonesty, because the hypocrisy is disgusting. Talarico is far from perfect, but he an infinitely better human being than Paxton.

It's a race between an unrepentant crook and a bible-quoting boyscout, and you chose the crook. How "christian" of you.

Talarico isn't a Christian by any typical definition of the word Christian. Paxton doesn't live like a Christian.

Both are bad.

My faith isn't impacted by Donald or Paxton. They don't influence my faith. My faith does influence how I vote.

The focus on the trans issue is due to the fact that it is the most obvious depraved belief that Talarico promotes. Now he promotes a ton of depraved beliefs, but none are quite as predatory as his stance on transing kids. You should re-examine exactly who you are because you're sick in the head if you overlook it. Truly a sick person.

Trans people can be nice, no doubt. But that doesn't mean we should support celebrating them, should support programming our kids into becoming trans, and certainly doesn't mean that we should support chemically castrating kids.

I mean that is sick in the head type of beliefs. What is wrong with you? Your brain is owned by the TV.

Talarico is welcome to believe whatever he wants but since he has made his "Christian faith" a core pillar of his campaign it should be viewed with a critical lens. But in no way is he actually a Christian if he believes the teachings of the "church" he attends in Austin which denies many of the core tenants of the Christian faith. Talarico is a universalist that believes all faiths lead to God and let's be clear there is one true God and the ONLY way to him is through belief in Jesus and the work the cross.

Talarico's pastor does not believe in the resurrection of Jesus. You cannot deny that central tenant of Christian faith and call yourself a Christian. They use a different Bible in their church that removes aspects they disagree with. He wears the costume of Christianity as a vessel for his radical, progressive beliefs but he is no Christian based on what he has said and his church teaches. It is a misguided, cheapened version.

At the end of the day, vote based on policy. That's the stuff that will actually remain beyond either of their deep character flaws. Both are deeply immoral in their own way but only one has made their "faith" a core pillar of their campaign and deserves to be criticized but again the policy they support is all that matters ultimately.

That's a bold assumption, and it's news to me. I'm almost impressed at the confidence to make sht up like that and use it as the foundation of your argument, very Trump-like.

I must be confusing you with another Bear then so my bad on that but I do believe you were a former low level staffer in his office according to what you've said.

Definitely not the foundation of my argument though! Plenty of compelling reasons that I listed below that.

Again, policy is all that matters ultimately. Paxton is far from my first choice to be the candidate but it could not be an easier choice come general election time.
