Maybe. Part of the problem here may be that the WNBA is full of XXs who love it when people call them "Big Poppa." They're not willing to say that pretending to be another gender is, well, pretending, even when the shoe is on the other foot.

I also wonder if the WNBA is afraid they might put a test in place that some current players might not pass? E.g. the Olympic boxer.
