It's not "my" issue, it's America's. I have no skin in the game except my desire for women's sports to be only for women, to protect women's safety, and for no cheating to be allowed.

It all boils down to an easy question with an obvious answer: What is a woman? It's insane and hilarious that the woke organization is unwilling to define the term that defines their league.

When I wrote that, I knew it wasn't what I meant. My apologies.

I don't know why she can't just say he's not eligible to play. I'd add, not committed to the bit.

When Trump tried to force the NFL to accept his team as an expansion team at the expense of the other owners, disgusted Pete Rozelle told him he'd never own an NFL franchise. For some reason she can't shut this down.

I'm calling for her removal.

Based on league rules and the WNBA CBA, why isn't Enes Kanter eligible to play?

League rules say no blokes. He's not even faking being a Sheila.

The league CBA states, "only players who are women are eligible to play in the WNBA."

There is no definition of "women" provided.

So again, without a definition of what "women" is, why isn't Enes Kanter or the others who have declared eligible?

They don't need to define it. He's not one. He's ineligible.

How is he not a woman then?

If you will not define it...and they will not define it....then how do we know he is not a woman?

If dylan mulvaney is a woman...and hunter schafer is a woman....then why is Kanter not a woman?

Because this is an attention ruse that's using these women to make a political point political points.

I'll just call myself a woman and go to women's spaces. This board would scream as my man body ain't as big as Kantors.

I believe the right answer is "we chose not to play" his game. If I were commissioner, my statement would be "we're not interested in their bull****"
To which Enes Kanter or Royce White or Julie Tetart or anyone else who is formally denied eligibility without a clear reason as to why can respond that they will sue for discrimination or collusion if there is evidence for that. Who knows if any of them would be successful if they chose to attempt.

Is it not also a political point to refuse to define what a woman is?

And how do we know if everyone who defines themselves as a woman and wants to play in the league is just doing "political points"

Maybe they just feel they are female and want to compete in the league

Why is it theirs to do? I saw a clip between these two factions where, on one side, conservative groups are protesting in favor of Cunningham. On the other side are WNBA fans.

The reporter asked, "Protesters, can you name 5 WNBA players? They could only name two. WNBA fans could name Beckers, Bird, Wilson, Clark, Cunningham, and more.

My point is that non-fans, non-customers are making political hay on the league's back. One of my life lessons is that you will meet people whose your value to them is their ability to use you.

The commissioner has got to get the league past this. It's not going away.

How is this any different than the Alphabet Mafia scoring political points and destroying the lives and businesses of Christian bakers and photographers?

The best way to demonstrate absurdity is by being absurd. No rational adult believes that a man can become a woman. Forcing those that believe in fantasy land to live in the land they advocate for is both hilarious and instructive.

The WNBA could end this today by simply stating out loud what everybody already knows. The real question is why it will not?

Julie is playing French basketball players. SHe's 6'3" and built like a dude. I believe the WNBA centers are far more skilled. (That's my eye test).

For Julie to play, she'd have to be drafted and make the team. To my basketball eye, she looks like the difference between the player who plays in the church league vs the person who plays D1 college.

The WTA doesn't have this exact problem because they have eligibility requirements on being a woman and have specifically stated:

"In this policy, 'biological male' means an individual who, regardless of their legal sex or gender identity, has an SRY gene and therefore has or previously had testes or streak testes; and 'biological female' means an individual who, regardless of their legal sex or gender identity, has no SRY gene and therefore has or previously had ovaries or streak ovaries,"

There has already been a transgender tennis player, Renee Richards, who interestingly is now opposed to it. However the rules as specified now were not in place back then.

The French league has many former WNBA and D1 players, but I'm sure current WNBA players would be better competition. Either way, the question in this conversation isn't "How good is Julie Tetart?" The question is, "Is Julie Tetart eligible to play in the WNBA?"

They don't need to define it. He's not one. He's ineligible.
That's potentially a decision for the courts if the WNBA chooses not to define what "women" is while also restricting access to employment to "women".

The CBA provides their legal framework for who is or is not eligible to work and discrimination and choosing to arbitrarily follow stated eligibility criteria fall under state and federal guidelines.

Again, based on what definition?

They could use Trumps definition. There are no blokes in the WNBA. It's unfair to force this fight on them.
They aren't using any definition. What is a "bloke"? Until you define that, how do you know there aren't any in the WNBA or that there cannot be in the future?

That's the problem and why the league president has not commented on the eligibility status of Enes Kanter or Royce White.

Other women's leagues such as the WTA and the IOC have definitions in place so they obviously disagree with you in regards to what is fair or not.

So, in effect, you're supporting what Lia Thompson did? Y'all seem ok jumping into this pool.

No one here supported him. We all saw how he went from being ranked in the 400s to winning everything.

We know it would happen here.

The best explanation I have seen is that allowing these NBA players to play with women would show, in a major (ok mid major) pro sport, that men and women do not belong in the same classification.

It would end this nonsense or force a third classification.

So why hasn't the WNBA called that French player that has done transition stuff and is playing in a women's league in France?

Are they saying she is not a woman?

Seems like they have a definition of what a woman is, but won't say it for fear of upsetting that crowd but are also still meeting to define a woman.....

They are clearly playing stall tactics hoping this goes away and they can avoid a lawsuit.

Because she ugly? She's also like 37. It's because they have bad leadership.

Playoffs are about to start on a great season and they're getting bogged down in the nonsense. I may need to step in and show them how to man up.

So it's ageism then?

Age is not a factor. If it was all these athletes (men or women) that have played at 37 and beyond would not keep finding teams.

He called out the joke publicly and they don't know what to do .... it's weird they call him "trolling" as if they have not spend 10 years telling us no one can judge what is a woman.

It actually is very insightful - it really is how leftists see the world: they believe they should make all the rules, define all the terms, and sit in judgment of all as the authoritarian arbiters of "truth." This is why it is impossible to have a logical conversation with them or why they cannot answer specifics because everything must depend on the particular situation not objective truth.

Even so, why is this fight being fought in the WNBAs playground? If we want women to be safe in swimming and volleyball, why push for attention *****s to source their league?

The fight is being fought in the WNBA because the league has terrible leadership that refuse to lead. This is clearly illustrated by the contempt they show for Caitlyn Clark (the best thing that has ever happened to them) and Sophie Cunningham (because she was honest).

I think it was sparked inadvertently by Sophie Cunningham. A reporter asked her a politically charged question and she gave an honest, common sense answer. She also refused to back down and lie when the Left had a tantrum because they cannot deal with obvious facts. It didn't help that her coach, teammates, and the league refused to stand by her. Apparently, no one in the league has the courage to stand up for women except Sophie. That's why it's so important.

Ironically, Enes Kanter & Royce White are doing more for women with their stunt than any of the "feminists" by trying to force the league into dealing with reality.

Well, they have given their answer, and it seems for several years they have felt this way.

They believe that fake women like these two guys should be able to compete with real women.

I think their issue is the wrong fake women are encroaching on their approved fake women.

Sure, but I think the league poured gasoline on it by the coach wearing the stupid shirt, the nutjob owner screaming at kids, etc.

The league is stuck because they have two sets of fans:
- The hardcore lesbians
- Normal people taking their kids to see Caitlyn Clark

It cannot risk alienating the lesbians because that's the foundation - interest in Clark will wane in the next few years likely and it will just be the radical lesbians. Ironically - or not - women tend to be the most anit-science and anti-women.

There is a clear reason. We said no. Political posturing isn't a protected class. That French man? Unimpressed with his game.

Kanter was born in Switzerland and raised in Turkey.

Not him. That Julie Tet (whatever his name is)

I don't think Julie Tetart would move the bar much, they look like bad D3 boy level at best. Now you put an ex-NBA guy, or an All Conference D1 guy out there and the total domination will be off the charts.

It is going to be interesting to see how they try to wiggle out of this ...
1. If they prevent men to enter the WNBA draft then they give truth to the entire transgender silliness
2. If they let the men enter the draft the league will become dominated by men
3. If they try and create some way to "judge" who is real and not then again it gives truth the the entire transgender silliness

I'm pretty sure any high school boys team would dominate the league - would not be close. But it would be so much funnier seeing 7-footers playing.

Yea Tommie is a super smart guy and funny as heck.

Someone told him the other day that they eat a "blacker" diet than him.

They clearly don't know who he is.

A high school team would beat them badly. Which is why that one guy offered $10 million for the WNBA champions to play a HS team…. And they just ignored it.

It just underscores the stupidity of education and grievance studies majors - I cannot imagine not being able to make
a cogent argument like why SPED do not enhance AP classes despite making the same argument 10' ago.
